In fairness, no point hoping for defeats now. Roys fate is sealed unless we go on a great victory charge. Hopefully he gets the sack later today but reports indicate the search for a new manager is on and it will take sometime.
    Forwards.......

I have already preordered the DVD from the club shop...epic.

It was amazing from Roy truly inspirational.

And to introduce Gerrard after 20 minutes was genius....BAM ....no one saw that coming...I'm in awe

The first time that a victory feels like a loss. Kind of reminds me of when we beat Blackburn on the final day of the 1994/95 season I think - luckily the scum drew anyway that day and Blackburn won the title. Maybe Bodge will still get the sack.

Not a bad performance, we definitely deserved the three points. I thought Agger did well after such a long lay off and Torres was a bit sharper if even he could have passed the ball a bit more.

I really hope Konchesky and Poulsen never see the field again.

Good result, and a better performance in the second half, hopefully this will give the players a confidence boost
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

2 games in hand over Bolton and Sunderland, and one over Stoke - so in 'real terms' we could be 6th - but Blackpool have a game in hand over us, which could put us 7th.

Even at 1-1 I wouldn't of been too disappointed...

I could of lived with the 1-1...

Roy has just said on soccer Saturday that he would have being happy with 1-1..... loser.

Roy's post-match interview, big grin on his face.

Felt we played 'so well', it was 'top class' and showed the character of the players and the quality, happy to try and turn things around and have a positive 2011. He says he could've lived with a 1-1, given our performance. Says he underestimated the impact of 3 weeks without a game, he underestimated the lack of match fitness and felt we were 'rusty' against Wolves. Thinks we were unlucky to be behind at HT and that it was a silly freekick, given the dangerous players they have at set pieces.

Thinks the goal will do a lot for Joe Cole, who has worked hard in training and wants to establish himself in the side. Good goal for Torres and thinks those things will stand us in good stead for 2011.

and then contradicts himself saying that not winning after the performance would have been hard.......what a clown

Always good to win, but this better not preserve the fossil's position.
                                3rd place. Worst champions ever.
