Agger is our best defender. Which is why I fully expect he'll get sold.

IMO Carra is aour best 'defender" by a country mile,but Agger is a footballing CB which is very rare these days and has the potential to be world class, that is if he stays fit!! If he does stay fit he is absolutely vital, same as Aurelio but thats one scenario i just can't see happening.

I dont think so. Agger can pass better then Carragher. He can also run the ball forward and get past players. He's also infinitely better in the air since Carragher is nigh on useless at aerial balls. I'd also say he keeps most people at bay since he's faster then Carragher. Last little bit, Carraghers scored more own goals to Aggers 0. He is also better looking - This is quite important.

Johnson, Agger, Skrtel and Aurello can all play a bit and keep possession ticking over without the need for constant hoofs up the pitch.
