Funny, under Hodgson with those players I'd have expected Kuyt up top with Torres, Maxi on the left, Raul on the right and Gerrard and Lucas in the centre.

Liverpool caretaker manager Kenny Dalglish is likely to make changes for Sunday's FA Cup third round tie at arch-rivals Manchester United.

Daniel Agger will probably come into central defence to replace Sotirios Kyrgiakos after the 3-1 defeat at Blackburn, while left-back Paul Konchesky - who sustained a dead leg in Wednesday's match at Ewood Park - is coming under pressure from Fabio Aurelio.

Dirk Kuyt could be recalled having been a substitute at Ewood Park, which would mean Joe Cole or Maxi Rodriguez missing out.

Midfielder Raul Meireles, who missed the Blackburn game with an ankle injury, is fit again.

He's been watching the games the same as all of us and if we came in we'd have our own ideas on who should play. He'll listen to his assistants I'm sure but he should defo have input IMO.
