Still, it is interesting that we made a move for a coach so quickly. I suppose it speaks to the fact that one of Commoli and Dalglish have been thinking about this for a while (you would guess the former given that Kenny was on holiday).

I suppose it's pretty rare that there is a coach with a world class reputation bumbling around doing sod all.

Steve Clarke would be a great choice. Spoke of very highly during his time at Chelsea. It's clear we need a serious overhaul in that department of the club so the more top class coaches we can bring in, the better we will be.

I always thought Roys staff was fairly low numbers wise, so replacing the out going mike Kelly and bringing in others is essential.

Not a bloody chance. Pepe as made it clear he's staying and Torres is a boyhood fan, he'll be buzzing just as much as us to see Kenny back.

Mourinho spoke highly of Clarke and the players loved him too. He has been credited for sorting out the defensive side of things while working under Mourinho so looks like an excellent appointment.
