Obviously it wasn't all down to Hodgson. That doesn't mean he didn't fail (he did) and it doesn't mean he was good enough (he wasn't) and it doesn't mean he should have been given more time by owners or fans (he really, really, really shouldn't have been).
Benitez made mistakes, some of which were not just down to the terrible situation inflicted on the club by the previous owners.
If pundits are now saying it's not all black and white then that's good. Are we starting to see that or not?.
