i wonder how he will be looked back upon in 20 years
He's one of our European Cup Winners and was a central figure in the run. Like it or not, he'll always be called a Liverpool legend by the media at least.

not sure i agree. if we dominate again like we did years ago then i doubt he would be seen as a legend.

its possible he will be. I just reckon wait 10 of 20 years and see thats when we truly know

I've just realised from my last two posts in conversation with you, I sound like a pro Carragher....my mates would piss themselves at this, I've been shouting about getting him replaced for about a year and a half!

i appreciate what he has done for the club. i did start to wonder a couple of years ago how he would cope when his legs started going. he always looked like he would give a pen but got away with it. at the moment his head makes him try things his legs cant do hence he looks to be pulling shirts even more as he has lost that bit of pace that he sort of had

can he adapt? i am not sure he can, sami did to be fair.

Nah, he doesn't have the same game intelligence or composure. He got away with it for so long just because he was Jamie Carragher and his rep was high.

i think thats a bit harsh, well the bit he got away with it just because of who he was.

however i do question his ability to change.

i didnt much like his comments on sky when he said well they played 442 so obviously were attacking and going for it.

                    Genuine question here Gorby....

What has he done, to warrant your ill-feeling towards him? I'm not saying you're wrong or you're right - i just genuinely want to know what it is that makes you so aggressively anti-Carragher. Because i sincerely dont know what it is, from your point of view, and i'm just genuinely curious.

                      No answer then....surprise, surprise.

I think you're crazy. He's made hundreds of appearances for the club.

Anyway, there's no way we'll dominate like we did for so long. And even if we did he'd still be a 'legend' because he's made over 17,000 appearances or whatever it is.

How many of those players from the sixties, seventies and eighties are 'legends'? We have hundreds of 'legends'. Hundreds. Possibly thousands or even millions.

                        Billions.

And Carragher is a 'legend' even though he's never been all that technically proficient and despite the fact he longer seems anything like the player he was.

As for liking Hodgson and O'Neill, that doesn't disqualify him. Emlyn is still a 'legend' and he snogged Thatcher.

There's no suggestion Carra has ever gone that far with Bodger or the Dynamic Monkey.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

He is obviously no newcomer. Whether he still uses 2 different IDs or not, i dont know. But he definitely posted under a different name in the past.
