I agree with a lot of what you've put there but I would put as an opposite to your last point, 'Some people can't seem to get their heads round that a number of our players just aren't good enough'

As much as I no longer believe this group of players, bar a few, I did take some positives from the game firstly the fact that in the first half I saw players moving into space demanding the ball, excellent and secondly that they did battle back for a draw after falling in to the same old routine.

For me, all I'm looking for is to make sure we don't get drawn into a relegation battle, which is something we should never do but this team is capable of, and that we start again next season, new man in charge and quite a number of changes.

No kneejerk reaction here, just what I believe. I just want to start recognising my football team again.

And some people just look at what they are seeing, and whilst there are definite improvements, come to the conclusion that there needs to be a bit of an overhaul to turn things around and certainly do not expect instant results just because Roy has gone and the King has returned.

They have seen things going downhill for 18 months and feel a fresh approach is required to start to turn things around.

I totally agree with Simon with all the above. Yesterday's game for me saw a massive improvement on previous outings.

The boy's showed commitment, fight and overall great team work to get back in to the game.

OK there was 7 mins of complete chaos and their heads dropped, but the belief came back and they fought to the last min to take the 3 points.

Several current players we know are not good enough, but they are what we have at this moment in time and we need to get behind them and the management team.

WE as supporters need to show those lads that we are fully behind them, this will boost their confidence and make them push that little bit more.

Finally KK is doing a great job in his first full week, YES 1st WEEK and I believe we cannot have expected more from him it will take time, but there ois already a massive improvement over the last 3 games and some of us need to remember, Kenny hasn't got a magic wand but he is a genius and will turn us around in time.

I fully believe our first 3 points under Kenny will come next weekend against Wolves., and then we'll begin to flow...

I dont know what the problem is with him really. I dont think he's 'not suited' to man for man marking, it's very common and he must have done it plenty throughout his time.

He has a habit of not watching the ball and instead trying to block his man off, as the cross is coming in. This, in itself, is daft. He's plenty big enough to go and attack the ball and leave it there.

His confidence is shot to pieces IMO and the whole issue is magnified by the way the team is playing. He's panicking on a regular basis and needs to regain some confidence and composure, somehow.

Kenny Dalglish hopes to rebuild confidence at Liverpool, starting with Christian Poulsen and Paul Konchesky.

A 2-2 draw with Merseyside rivals Everton on Sunday offered signs of encouragement for the Reds, with Dalglish's arrival providing a much-needed spark.

There is, however, still much work to be done if a bitterly disappointing campaign is to be rescued.

A torrid first half to the season, under the guidance of Roy Hodgson, has left Liverpoollanguishing in the bottom half of the table and low on morale.

Among those to have suffered most from the slow start are summer signings Poulsen and Konchesky, who have bore the brunt of supporter frustration.

Dalglish recognises the importance of restoring belief to those members of his squad currently at a low ebb and insists those who have struggled so far will be given further opportunities to prove their worth.

"We've got a couple of senior players who the supporters haven't exactly seen eye to eye with," said the Scot.

"We've got to try to rebuild them. If we can get Christian Poulsen and Paul Konchesky back on side then that makes the squad that bit deeper.

"Christian played very well at Blackpool and Paul will get an opportunity as well."

Dalglish's return to the Anfield hot-seat, almost 20 years since his previous reign came to an end, has seen Liverpool adopt a new approach.

There has also been tactical tinkering, with Glen Johnson switched from his favoured spot on the right to a role at left-back.

Dalglish admits the England international may not be a long-term solution in that position, but feels it is important to field his strongest possible side at the moment.

He added: "We want our best players on the pitch.

"I don't know if he's the best option but he's an option."

Great post, I look forward to see the team in action next weekend after a full week of training. I think we will see more improvements, and they have been playing many games in a short space of time so next weekend will be interesting.

I don't think Hodgson would have done better in these past three games. Now Kenny has a week to sort out the defence with Clark before the Wolves game.

I was impressed with Jay Spearing’s contribution. A role requiring stamina, his continuous harassing was a welcome sight. Jay’s work rate was impressive, swaying from left to right trying to break down attacks, a feat which he successfully accomplished many times. His passing skills need to be worked on and I’m sure, under the guidance of Kenny and Clarke, this area will be improved in the not so distant future.

I know Spearing has taken quite a bit of stick, but I agree his performance wasn't that bad, given his lack of experience and the nature of the game. He always tried to make himself available for the ball and was asking for it which is encouraging, but his use of it wasn't great. Decent performance

I miss that Skrtel. I remember there was a time when Chelsea hadn't scored against us in X amount of games when he was playing.

That was a **** performance but in a good way...at least we got bodies forward and looked to attack. I think it's only logical that we'll improve with every game now that the tactics have changed. We have so much work to do but I must insist that, if we're looking to move into the 21st century with attacking football, then Kuyt and Lucas should not be in the first 11 (but they can come in and do a good job as part of a squad rotation system).
