We battered Everton in the first half, Torres looked back to something near his best and if it wasn't for 5 mad minutes after Agger had to come off I think we would have gone on to win.
Skrtel was at fault for both goals, Spearing isn't good enough, Kelly is now 1st team regular not a squad player.
Get Gerrard back in off Torres, buy a player or maybe 2 and we will be back up towards top 8 which is all we can ask for from here

Thought today was a bit better. More urgency on the ball. We looked to try and attack them and when we didn't have the ball we at least try to get it back now.

Skrtel is an accident zone. Glen Johnson was better than midweek but that doesnt say much. Torres looks like he's well up for it now and Martin Kelly should start every game. We need about 5 first teamers though! Better but still not good enough.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

We should have been 3-0 up at half time. The problem is our confidence is so fragile, when we concede a goal it snaps and we panic, and don't play the same kind of stuff, it happened alot recently, notably at Blackpool and again today. If we had played in the last 30mins like we had in the first half (even at 2-1 down) I would have fancied us to win, but we weren't able to.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

As for today Johnson at LB is not the way to go, he's bad enough at RB. Cole and Aurelio on the bench for whole game, and Kenny's one and only sub was Jonjo Shelvey?

Mate i'm a relation of Kenny's, albeit distant i'd love him to do well and i don't like critiscing him, but he is the manager of LFC and is in the firing line. He is a LFC legend but now being a premier league manager he is open to criticism and IMO thus far he has made some mistakes, hopefully he gets to strengthen the squad as he's came into an epic nightmare and a very poor squad.
have you considered that both have been injured lately (cole and aurelio I mean). Shelvey was brought on to give energy, which he did. Spearing only played his first game back earlier in the week otherwise I am sure he would have been on instead of Poulsen. I am certain that if there were decent, fit options, then Glen Johnson would not be played at left back. Unfortunately we have Konchesky as the option...not happening, a positive. After just one week there are signs of improving. We are moving the ball quicker, we have players that want the ball. That has not been happening. Unfortunately, like Rome, this will not be built in one day.

Is nando now suspended for the Wolves game? I noticed today that was his fifth booking of the season.

no, it changed to suspension for 5 yellows before the end of December.

Everybody knows that we need better quality players. The squad has had negative investment for the last few years, no youngsters coming through some poor decisions and other players getting older. Personally I would rather FSG took their time over it and moved in the summer. I don't expect them to buy 5 expensive players in January without even thinking about it, unlike some geniuses.

Where are these players supposed to come from? The manager? no, brand new and only temporary. The Owners? No, they don't know enough about football. The DoF? Well he's only just got here and is here because the owners don't know enough about football.

Should we just buy Roy's targets? No thanks.

We need to show a bit of patience and stop panicking.
                              Really?

Thought we played well first half, and really should have gone in more than one up.

Second half they came at us and we had a horrible spell in defence allowing them to score two goals. It shot our already fragile confidence to pieces.

I thought Spearing was ok, Kelly was very good, but Kuyt had another poor game. I'm a big fan but I really think he could do with a rest.

I'm surprised that we didn't bring Babel or Pacheco on for Maxi or kuyt.

Glen had a decent game at LB.

We are at least playing better football under Kenny, and it's a step in the right direction. We'll get there (not sure where there is mind).

Those are my brief thoughts on the game. Thanks for reading.
