Yep, very disappointing. Not difficult decisions to make either, common sense.

When Agger didn't turn out for the second half, i thought Kenny could have brought Aurelio on in his place and moved Kelly into the centre and Johnson to right back.
Saying as the Greek and Skrtel are all over the place as a partnership and Kelly was having a fine game so i'm sure playing in the centre would have been no problem for him.

Second half they came at us and we had a horrible spell in defence allowing them to score two goals. It shot our already fragile confidence to pieces.

I thought Spearing was ok, Kelly was very good, but Kuyt had another poor game. I'm a big fan but I really think he could do with a rest.

I'm surprised that we didn't bring Babel or Pacheco on for Maxi or kuyt.

Glen had a decent game at LB.

We are at least playing better football under Kenny, and it's a step in the right direction. We'll get there (not sure where there is mind).

Those are my brief thoughts on the game. Thanks for reading.

And with regards to Lucas, for me he's the one thing that keeps the midfield going, he's got a great passing ability in comparison to what we've been served up by everyone else in recent times, without him we'd be ****ed. It's as simple as that. And as soon as Gerrard comes back, Lucas will be less effective again. When Gerrard's gone, I'm ****ing glad we've got Lucas, we'd be really ****ed without him. And if you can't see that, then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Disappointing result... More the manner of how easily we gave those two goals up. Still the odd positive to take though.

Spearing only played his first game back earlier in the week otherwise I am sure he would have been on instead of Poulsen. I am certain that if there were decent, fit options, then Glen Johnson would not be played at left back. Unfortunately we have Konchesky as the option...not happening, a positive. After just one week there are signs of improving. We are moving the ball quicker, we have players that want the ball. That has not been happening. Unfortunately, like Rome, this will not be built in one day.
Yup i have considered it and its a fair point, but if both are on the bench then both are obviously able to play ball. IMO Cole and Aurelio should have been introduced for at least 20 mins. Cole's guile and Aurelio delivery. Shelvey doesn't energy, he is one of the slowest human being i've ever seen, not writing him off as he is very young but Cole at his worst IMO is a much better option than the inexperienced and lethargic Shelvey.

Kenny needs time, and he'll get that, he is learning and i understand that, its just unfortunate that there is no room for error at this point, we need investment and now!

a Soto/Skrtel partnership always has disaster written all over it.

Kuyt, Torres and Kelly played really well. Johnson and Meireles had their positive moments too. I think Kelly at right back and Glen Johnson right wing would work well, we need a world class CB to keep our defense in order mind, attacking play was positive and on the way up; with Gerrard playing it would have been even better

Hopefully every game from now until the end of the season will see us get better, that's all I'm asking for really. If we don't improve at all and head in the wrong direction then I can understand a few doubts, insecurities and negatives that are coming from a few people. They really aren't deserved now though, forget Roy and the start to our season, we are looking for a turning point in our game starting from today and I am confident by the end of the season Kenny and the staff will have that sorted and will leave a positive side for whoever is in charge next season. I would like to see Kenny still in charge if he does make things better just to see if he can take us further.

We battered Everton in the first half, Torres looked back to something near his best and if it wasn't for 5 mad minutes after Agger had to come off I think we would have gone on to win.
Skrtel was at fault for both goals, Spearing isn't good enough, Kelly is now 1st team regular not a squad player.
Get Gerrard back in off Torres, buy a player or maybe 2 and we will be back up towards top 8 which is all we can ask for from here
spot on mate. I think little Jay is a good little player but Im not sure hes got what it takes to make it at Liverpool.

Might have worked out with the same results though. Kelly's still very inexperienced at CB and is coming in and gaining experience at RB and doing very well at it. Straight swap was probably the best way to go. The real problem is Skrtel. Still can't understand the thinking behind GJ at LB when Aurelio is fit, but he wasn't awful there today, not any worse than in his real position.

Another poor result in a really really long line.

The first half performance can give me some hope but they reverted to type in the second again. Subs were not the best either.
Not sure how you saw that, 1st half we created all the decent chances and were on top, Agger going off changed the game.

Did you have a feeling he had a dodgy curry last night?

Can't believe people are being so negative. Thought we were well on top in the first half... and deserved to be 2-0 up. We conceed two very bad goals in the first 10/15 mins and our confidence was shot (as its so fragile at present).... still managed to fight back and get a point which I think is acceptable in a derby match. We have played better football in the last 3 matches then I have seen all season.

With Gerrard and Carragher to come back into that team, Torres back to near his best, signings to come in Janurary and with Kenny in charge I am very optimistic for the rest of the season and behyond. Have to say very dissapointed with the attitude of some Liverpool supporters on this forum critiscing Kenny after a week in charge but I guess this is how some of our support is nowadays.

I said at half time if Everton score the next goal then we'll collapse. I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach they would come out strong, put pressure on the centre backs and get back into it. They did...

That's a really negative attitude to have - they outplayed and beat us easily 2-0 at Goodison earlier in the season.
Liverpool being the home team should always be going out for the 3 points and considering Everton were without Jageila, Cahill, Pienaar and Saha...4 guaranteed starters...it's most definitely an opportunity missed.

Some people demand instant results without really understanding what it takes to turn things around.
                            Really?
