Think its relistic to be honest... we are currently 13th in the table 3 points above the relegation zone and we were missing Gerrard and Carragher. Of course we should always be going for 3 points (away or at home) but coming back from 2-1 down for a point is not the end of the world espeically with the improved performance and the fact that it was a derby match.

i think there are positives and negatives.
obviously is we are comparing to two years ago then we look awful. Obviously we want to be challenging at the top.
now comparing it to what we have seen previously this season there are many positives. We need to get results as we could get sucked in at the bottom. Now the improvement is tangible on the pitch however it will mean nothing if we dont get points from these games.
Bodge clearly was the wrong man and the wrong tactics for us. Kenny deserves some time to turn it round.
We are not as bad as some think but neither do i think we are as good as some think. This squad can do better than this season, however i do think we need reinforcements and January would be nice, however it may be the summer before we can.
We need cover for Torres, a good wide player, maybe two but definately one. One or two fullbacks and one centre back maybe a CM.
now that can be done over two windows and possibly one. I suppose GJ could be one of the wide players, its possible Suarez is the cover or other striker. I would like Shawcross or Cahill at the back and i would bring Insua back and Aquailani.
Still much work to be done though.

i do agree that at the moment it looks like Kenny is making some strange choices but we will see if they are the right choices.
Also he doesnt make substitutions early.
I wasnt sure about him coming in, however overall we are better under him than we were under bodge. Certainly look more fluid going forward. Remember that we didnt look great under Rafa in his last season and this squad isnt any stronger than that.
so lets not expect miracles eh.

When you loan someone out in loan-to-buy situation, the club taking the player has control. Juve rehabilitating him.

Many Reds still don't understand Aquilani situation, i.e. we can't recall him. Decision rests purely with Juventus. Fee pre-agreed.RIP IRWT

I think he is good enough for us he needs to learn more but so do all young players

Ah right, he didnt set the world alight with us but was useful the more he played, i would still wonder how he would do over a season but if its not to be its not to be.

Wouldnt collapsing be losing? Not getting back into the game and getting a draw out of it?Originally posted by Drago View PostI said at half time if Everton score the next goal then we'll collapse. I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach they would come out strong, put pressure on the centre backs and get back into it. They did...

- We're on the exact same number of points as Everton, no? It's Everton FFS, not United or Arsenal.Originally posted by YNWA_IRE View PostThink its relistic to be honest... we are currently 13th in the table 3 points above the relegation zone and we were missing Gerrard and Carragher. - As i said before, 4 big players were out for them, to our two. Should have taken advantage
- We're the home team, hence the onus is on us to attack and go for it, which we did tbf in spells 1st half, 2nd half however we never looked like scoring

Not really. We fell apart and conceded twice = collapse Then we're gifted a way back into it and never look like going on to win.Originally posted by Chris View PostWouldnt collapsing be losing? Not getting back into the game and getting a draw out of it?
Two points lost today without a doubt.

I knew that if a club had paid a loan fee we couldn't recall, but I believe we aren't being paid by Juventus unless he signs permantly, which IMO is crazy. But I didn't realise loan-to-buy deals had this restriction to. Looks like Aquilani is as good as gone then.Originally posted by doogle View Postpaul_tomkins Paul Tomkins

If you want a proper answer, which anyone with half a brain ought to be able to work out for themselves....
Give the owners a few transfer windows, give a temp manager 10 games or so, give a permanent manager a few transfer windows, give the new head coach half a season...
Sorry that doesn't translate into yesterday for you, but you'll find few sensible people who would disagree with that.Really?
