yup I think that sounds right, new LB, CB and striker would be nice now.(unlikely I know!)Originally posted by cream View PostAgree with you there. We need at least 5 new signings, I would like to see 2/3 now and 2/3 in the summer.
On the plus side, it's good to see Kenny adopting a very positive formation. With the right players he would have us playing wonderful football.
Ship a few out to make space Konk, Poulson perhaps even Babel.
If we can get the lads playing 90 minutes like the 1st 45 minutes of today, we'll be climbing the table

I think Kelly is a quality player and to be honest I've been thinking today is there actually a better rightback in the Premier League because **** me I cant think of oneOriginally posted by Rudo View PostYep, very disappointing. Not difficult decisions to make either, common sense.
When Agger didn't turn out for the second half, i thought Kenny could have brought Aurelio on in his place and moved Kelly into the centre and Johnson to right back.
Saying as the Greek and Skrtel are all over the place as a partnership and Kelly was having a fine game so i'm sure playing in the centre would have been no problem for him.
BUT Kelly lacks one quality which Everton exploited he isnt dominant in the air, hes ok but he aint brilliant
I wouldnt put him near our centreback positionLast edited by Lecter; 16-01-11, 09:46 PM.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

IMO Skrtel is the biggest worryOriginally posted by Daniel Torres View PostMight have worked out with the same results though. Kelly's still very inexperienced at CB and is coming in and gaining experience at RB and doing very well at it. Straight swap was probably the best way to go. The real problem is Skrtel. Still can't understand the thinking behind GJ at LB when Aurelio is fit, but he wasn't awful there today, not any worse than in his real position.
Hes a far bigger problem than any of the other optionBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Longer than a ****ing week!!!!!!!!!!!!!Originally posted by Rudo View PostHow long should we wait?
This is kneejerk in the extreme
Frankly its ****ing nonsense and an embarasssment to the club
If you cant see the improvement today then you need to seriously quit watching the gameBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

We'd be better with my mother playing in place of Skrtel

Fair and balanced postOriginally posted by Marsh View Postinteresting that when we had bodge it was his fault now its the owners faults .
now bodge was crap but surely if the players are not good enough it stands for bodge too?
not that i want bodge or think he should have been here at all.

Agree with all that. We would've lost this game if Hodgson was still here - the improved tempo and intensity on show in the 1st half is a notable improvement IMO.
We just can't defend anymore and our bottle goes as soon as we concede or come under any sort of pressure.
Hodgson has done so much damage to this club
I was worried about how much of his ****e would be ingrained in the fabric of our club but it looks like not only has the dozy ****er trod in dog**** on his way in hes then gone and wiped it on our carpets
Today was probably the best first half this season bar none
Torres looks 10 times the player he did under Roy
Defensively we look a shambles thoughBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

The pressing and the players actually moving into and creating space, demanding the ball.

I sure people expected Kenny to just roll up flick a switch and hey presto we'd be LFC 1987 Mark IIOriginally posted by Tatterdemalion View Post
Of course it is disgraceful, but you have to consider who's fault it is. It isn't the fault of the people who just got here is it? Or is it their fault, in your instant results world?
If they think thats gonna happen maybe they'd be better off watching Doctor Who or Back To The Future than a game of football

i see your point. however in 18 months we have had rafa for 12 bodge for 6 and the King for a week.
now then we have already seen improvement on the pitch, though admittedly not results.
if the players are half decent and bodge was coaching a way that didnt suit them then surely it shouldnt be irreparable damage should it?
