Also given that Kenny is new to the position he'll give everyone a chance to prove themselves and we're seeing that in his early selections. Of course we all have our own ideas of what the first 11 should be but managers have many more considerations than we like to appreciate.

Though results have been totally depressing there's definitely been an improvement. I think by the time Gerrard's back we'll be playing some good stuff and getting results.

I've just checked to see who first used the term.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Some stange ones so far. Rafa like formation, some rafa like selections also.
Who is it Sammy Lee is communicating with through his earpiece?

The likes of Shelvey, Kelly have stepped up to the plate so I think they'll be involved a lot more from now on. I can see Cole getting his chance on Saturday.
To be fair to Poulsen, I thought he did ok in his one game against Blackpool, more than Shelvey has showed in his little cameos. That’s not to say I would play him ahead of the kid but just think it’s a bit harsh to say he didn’t take his chance.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The team selections at Blackpool and yesterday I both found bewildering to be honest.

Nail firmly on head man - i questioned Kenny's team selections at Blackpool and Craig was all like 'oh you need to read up on the history of LFC, you do what Kenny Dalglish has done for the Club don't you?, oh you daren't criticise the King' - the big bloody drama queen.

I'm sure Kenny will know know himself that not every single Liverpool fan will agree with all his team selections, tactics etc. And he wouldn't expect them to.

I thought it was a bit strange to be honest, but I thought the lad acquitted himself well. Tailed off a little in the second half, but he was everywhere in the first.

Definitely. We are quicker moving up the pitch, thus having a higher defensive line. The support that Torres has been getting is far better so far, mostly due to the team pushing up another ten yards.

i think stevie getting a 3 match ban was ****in stupid as well.......idiot
I couldn't understand Spearing either and I thought he was poor. I didn't think Kelly was great either personally.
I don't think 442 is the way to go though, we should have played Maxi off Torres imo

I think it's interesting that he has brought on Shelvey in every game, despite us being in difficult situations, so he obviously rates him. I'd like to see him make changes a bit sooner to be honest, other than that the subs are fine.

The selections have perhaps been a little strange Blackpool in particular. Hopefully he is just giving players a chance, I'd hope not not see some people again.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'd like to see Pacheco and Suso given some time..

I also think he want's some natural width and we don't really have anyone..

Playing Glen at LB may send out a message and trying to get players to compete for places, giving them a chance to show what they are about..
                    spot on IMO

That said... I don't see a future for PFK, Jova, Poulsen or Jones.

Skrtel and J. Cole have some catching up to do... i agree with you too

And I don't mind people questioning his decisions. It just all seems so simplistic as well as ludicrously too soon.

Roy got half the season and made some terrible buys and dragged the team down. I don't like criticizing Kenny too much after 3 games but he'll put his own stamp on it, buy few players and as soon as he finds his best team, then IMO can he be properly judged.
Or, he's showing the players out there that he has faith in them to turn things around?

Didn't really know where to put this, not worthy of it's own thread. Some telling quotes from Dirky babes

He (Hodgson) wanted to play in a certain way
If you see in the last three games we are playing 4-3-3 and with Hodgson it was 4-4-2
The way we play [now] is very enjoyable
Basically, you think Hodgson was **** eh Dirk?

Suso & Coady have been promoted to Melwood yesterday

I think we have to take a step back

Dalglish said he had taken the job without any preconditions etc.... hes also been at pains to reiterate that everyone will get a chance and that he would have taken on the job even if he was told there was no money to spend

How would it then look if he approached NESV/FSG and said I want a couple of players. They could just well turn round and say why havent you given, Jovanovic, Poulsen etc.. a go

To me Dalglish has positioned himself well to argue for signings

He can now say well I've tried him, him and him and this guys not good enough so we need x number of players in these positions

I said the same basically after the Blackpool match regarding Jova and Poulsen. Maybe not quite so articulately but all in all
