Worrying thing is this is probably the best team we could put out today, we could make some minor changes Spearing for Poulsen, Aurelio for Johnson, that you could argue might improve us but those changes would barely increase the level of quality
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think its fair to say that everyone played well today and aside from personel and formations Kenny has got us playing football in a positive way and he's getting the effort out of the players. Even Poulsen looked decent today.
Will we ever see Joe Cole on the pitch again?*************************

Kenny has always made seemingly bizarre teams selections in the past, sometimes they work sometimes they don't, I remember Arsenal away when we played about 7 at the back with Molby almost playing centre back, we lost 3-0. He's gets more right than wrong. Trust him and move on.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

He got the team spot on today as the result shows. In football if you win you're right and if you lose you're wrong. That's just how it goes.
In terms of team selection I think many people would pick a different side, but I still think people are relying on how things went under Hodgson. We need to give players a clean slate and see how they work under Kenny. They're obviously doing the business in training or they wouldn't be on the pitch.
People need to start trusting the manager again. If Kenny doesn't do the business we'll have a new manager in the summer, if he works out then I think everyone will be happy.Forwards.......

I queried two selections today and was totally wrong. Someone made the point (Chris?) that we've got a proper manager again and his set up and the way we play negates the need to worry about the likes of Poulsen. When Gerrard's back, and maybe when Adam comes in, Poulsen won't play much at all. It just feels great to have a manager who can answer critics of team selection with performances like that. Rafa often did it. Remember that side he picked at Real Betis in the CL? Pundits and fans were going mad and we were brilliant. If Hodgson picked a **** team, we were **** and Hodgson could do nothing about it. Kenny

To me it all shows we need to remember what our job is.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI queried two selections today and was totally wrong. The way one or two on this thread slagged off Dalglish before the game is both unbelievable and, frankly, unacceptable. Still, I suppose it just makes them look like idiots so maybe there's no real harm..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Ditto I also questioned Johnson at LB and Poulsen playing. Johnson did well, What's the deal with Poulsen? When he plays well he does so in the first half of games and fades in the second half. Is it a fitness issueThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
