He is saying he will work his arse off to ensure Kenny is installed as manager. The only way he can do that is by making the team successful on the pitch. If that happens surely we will all be happy?

Gerrard should shut the fock up......don't say anything about the topic and keep his head down and work harder......

maybe steering clear of straight red cards and 3 match bans would be a good idea as well......fockin headless chicken.....

Well, that's one interpretation of Gerrard's words but I don't buy it here for a moment.

I think it's just a way of speaking enthusiastically about the new manager. FFS, Gerrard's a fan of the club - as well as any professional bond with Dalglish, he's going to feel as good about him as any of us.

I think on this occasion Nigey is over-analysing and reading in what he's expecting to find.
Woof Woof..is that 'I agree in dog language?'

Steven Gerrard is determined to do all he can to help Kenny Dalglish earn the Liverpool manager's job full-time.

Subscribe to LFC Weekly>>The King is in charge of first-team matters until the end of the season and while he is yet to enjoy his first win as temporary boss, Gerrard believes Dalglish's presence is having a positive effect.

The skipper will miss the Wolves game at the weekend as he completes a three-match suspension, but when he returns to the first team, he plans to do everything he can to help earn Dalglish the manager's job on a permanent basis.

"I want to do everything in my power to ensure that he stays here for a long time, beyond the initial six months," said Gerrard in an exclusive interview in this week's LFC Weekly.

"I'd love nothing better when the end of the season comes than for us to be on the back of a good run of results that ensures he gets the job full-time. That's my short-term plan, to give everything I've got and all my energy to try to make that happen.

"I won't lie. When Kenny rang to say he was coming back it was a big lift. I love Kenny as a person and I've certainly enjoyed the first few days we've had working with him. I can see a positive future for Kenny at the club.

"I think he's the perfect person to get everyone moving in the right direction again. He's the talisman at this club. His nickname, the King, says it all really. He's the perfect manager and also person to bring it all together. It's time to re-group and for us all to be pulling in the right direction because this season certainly hasn't been good enough."

Gerrard can't win can he. He got grief when he didn't come out in defence of Rafa and now he gets grief over saying Kenny is the right man for the job.

BTW he would look a right idiot if he sat in silence when a reporter asks a question.

Or maybe you should. Gerrard has done infinitely more for LFC than you could ever hope to do.

                    I agree with Neil.

Gerrard's comments are welcoming and he seems genuinly chuffed with Kenny's appointment as I am.

All players should do is play their best for whoever the Manager is, nothing more, nothing less. It's up to the board to appoint a Manager that can turn his ideas and schemes into tangible achievements - the players should keep their beaks out of it.

Supporters should just pay their dues and support the club and team. They should refrain from criticising them.

The fact that Gerrard said it.
