Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Hmmmm, supporters spend a lot of money for the privilege of supporting their teams while the players are paid obscene amounts of money for playing football. Supporters have every right to moan if they feel short changed while the players should be playing out of their skins week in, week out.

It's no surprise to me Gerrard wants Kenny Dalglish as our next manager. Just as it was no surprise to me Gerrard supposedly(and i believe it to be the case) wanted Rafa out and supported the Hodgson appointment.

The reason being Gerrard loves to have a luvy duvy relationship with his manager, this goes way back to the Houllier days.
Dalglish rightly or wrongly would be similar, not saying he Kenny isn't capbale of the old "hairdryer treatment" but in the main i imagine he'll have a close relationship with his players. Gerrard and Kenny have knew each other for years and were pals before Kenny took over as Manager, that can't be overlooked either.
Gerrard knows that under Kenny he'll still be the main man and the team will be played around him, he'll not be hooked in a Merseyside derby under Dalglish that's for sure.

In the Rafa era, Gerrard wasn't mollycoddled. Rafa had a reputation for being quite the opposite of what he likes from his manager.
Rafa is a distant man and manager, not the type to praise individual players at every opportunity. Gerrard loves an ego boost, that's clear.
And i think in the end Gerrard got fed up with Rafa's ways, hence his appalling attitude and performances throughout last season which obviously played a part in getting Rafa the sack

Think it's just over 2 hours from Euston so he would have plenty of time to leave at 1 and get to the game.

You think Kenny is the mollycoddle, luvvy-dovey type?

It's just possible that our captain is letting any potential targets know that things are on the up at the club and the feel good factor is back. He could also be saying there's a good chance that Kenny will be in charge next season so new signings wouldn't have to worry about a new manger coming in and them not being part of the new mans plans.

                      Just maybe !

Not necessarily, i'm not saying he is but he's defo no Rafa in terms of being cold and distant from his players which suits Gerrard down to the ground.

Totally agree people seem to be forgetting that the article was in LFC Weekly and it was about a living LFC Legend. Kenny is the one manager Gerrard could never say anything other than good things about and how he would work his hardest for him.... shame he didn't defend Rafa last yr -the manager who worked out his best postion wasn't central midfield....

We have two years of a contract here, we are really pleased here, the people are very nice, the fans are very similar to Liverpool fans, with passion, so everything is going well."

But Liverpool is home? "Yeah-it's the only house we have. Liverpool is my home and I will come back."

So rafa got the very best out of gerrard put him where he is best played rather than where he wants to play but didn't give him a cuddle. So he now wants kenny as manager ... how come if they were such good mates he didn't support kenny to begin with and landed us with woy???
As you said stevie likes the ego boost but when did he become bigger than LFC?
