Well, that's one interpretation of Gerrard's words but I don't buy it here for a moment.
I think it's just a way of speaking enthusiastically about the new manager. FFS, Gerrard's a fan of the club - as well as any professional bond with Dalglish, he's going to feel as good about him as any of us.
I think on this occasion Nigey is over-analysing and reading in what he's expecting to find.

That was before and just after Hodgson was appointed. It quickly turned sour though.Originally posted by dom9 View PostBut he was behind the Hodge appointment if you believe everything you read.
Gerrard should just shut up or be more diplomatic when he's asked stuff like that. For a start, saying something like this about Kenny is so predictable, zzzz.... We all love him no?Are we winning?

He is saying he will work his arse off to ensure Kenny is installed as manager. The only way he can do that is by making the team successful on the pitch. If that happens surely we will all be happy?Modifying post.

Then you would say that he has a lack of leadership.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostThat was before and just after Hodgson was appointed. It quickly turned sour though.

I'd be happy to see Kenny get a 4 year deal. He'd have had 4 and a hal years in charge then, just shy of the 5 year tenure most of our current managers tend to get. Hopefully by then some of the questions we have over the current young crop of managers will have been answered and we'll have a better idea on who to appoint.
The three best candidates seem to be Klopp, Deschamps and Villas-Boas and all three have said they wish to remain where they are for now anyway so the Kenny move is ideal.Forwards.......

Supposedly the club have asked the players NOT to speak about Kenny's future in ANY way shape or formOriginally posted by NigelLG View PostThat was before and just after Hodgson was appointed. It quickly turned sour though.

So to openly defy that (and LFC weekly are running the story as well) is quite a big thingBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
