Is he damned by different people or the same people?

I would praise him if he kept his opinions to himself and did his talking on the pitch.

I have no problem with Gerrard at all. I'm glad he is happy to work for Kenny.

I was just saying that for Arn and Gorby, the fact that Gerrard said it, makes it a problem. Because they have an anti-Gerrard and Carragher vendetta.

Yeah, cos we're still waiting for him to do that in a Liverpool shirt, arent we....

Yet more hysteria from the Penelope Pitstop of the forum. My comments apply to any player piping up about the Manager, particularly in the current climate of having a caretaker at the helm, and the ****e that has gone on in the recent past. Now, tootle on.......

no, no I got that - I meant others on the site not you.

It would be nice to get back to actually discussing football rather than sniping on here about some of our players - they wear the shirt, support them!

I think people have to realise how bad it has been for the players and how good it is for them now

Yes yes they are overpaid pampered spoilt brats but if you are demotivated and unhappy in your job you aint going to perform

Lawrenson was on the radio over the weekend, and said that he'd been speaking to Dalglish since he took the job, and apparently, Kenny spoke about how there was no banter in the changing room at all when he arrived. No mickey taking, no fun, just a dour bunch with nobody really speaking to each other.

It rang true when I heard it - looking at us over the past while, our squad doesn't strike me as a fun place to be. It's easy to believe that we're lacking that spirit and bond these days.

Thats all changed now Kenny is there hes brought back fun in training, the banter is going in the dressing room and the dressing room is starting to knit together once again

People like Gerrard, Torres & Kuyt is a way of getting across to the fans that message and that a united club (on and off the pitch) has far more chance of success than one that has zero unity

What part Gerrard & Carragher reportedly played in the sacking of Rafa and hiring of Roy grates me but thats gone now its time to move forward

IF it goes wrong this time and they fail to deliver then it will be unforgiveable

That is massively oversimplified isn't it. Do you think psychology would play no role at all under varying circumstance?

Off the pitch, I was told Gerrard was boarding a train at Euston at 1:00 last Sunday and I was asked why wasn't he at Anfield supporting the team.

I was surprised and said he must have a reason and I hope that's true.

Players generally aren't very bright, so they should stick to turning up for training and playing where and how the manager wants them to.

I'd be happy for Dalglish to get the job if he shows over the rest of the season that he can make a radical difference in our form and move us up the league. If not, we should get a young up-and-coming manager in.

Apart from never, ever listening to the views of players on the subject, we should never choose a manager on sentiment
So your pissed that he cares about the club?

Also, am I not correct when I say that our current manager was a player, and a ****ing bright one at that.

Players opinions are important, but shouldn't be taken as gospel. I dont think Ive ever seen a direct quote from Carra and Gerrard that states they actively campaigned for Dodgeson to be appointed. Until I do I wont be dealing in what someone said to someone else one day at the pub.
                            *Except Michael, who died.

If you remember a while back, i was posting about the Joe Cole situation, and more generally, the levels of (un)happiness within the squad - and the expression that stood out was "it's just not much fun at the moment" - that sums it up and goes back to the 'no banter in the dressing room' point.

I don't see anything wrong with what Gerrard said. The problem is that he should say things like this more often whatever manager we have.

I want to see much more fighting spirit from our Captain on and off the pitch.
