Where do you think we'll finish?

Now Hodgson has gone and we've seen Dalglish in charge for a few games, we've reached our highest position of the season I was wondering where everyone thinks we'll finish?

At the moment the table looks like this:

I fancy us to finish above Sunderland and make 6th, but I think too much damage has already been done for us to finish any higher and IMO top 4 has certainly gone. There is perhaps an outside chance of 5th if we go on a good run and one of Chelsea or Spurs go on a bad run, neither are on great form so far this season so I think if anything they are likely to get better rather than worse, if both maintain their current form to the end of the season Chelsea would finish on 68 points and Spurs on 63 to equal those points totals we would need to pick up 36 and 31 points out of a possible 42.

Anything above would be astonishing. Anything below would be disappointing.

6th Sunderland will drop off. Itll be a monumental effort too from the second half of the season to get there.

I think we might just steal 5th from Tottenham, especially with the CL due to start up again soon. hopefully we can take advantage of that time to push on, 6th is probably more realistic but...

Can't explain it, but I can see Spurs going on a poor run of form, once they get knocked out of the Champions League.

If we get a good run toghether we might, just might challenge for 4th, not sure how much chelsea are out of their crisis, but if we can put them and spurs under some pressure you never know..

realisticly we'll finish 6th, sunderland will fade off eventually

I know im clutching at straws here but if an english team wins the champions league, will the premiership get an extra spot?

No. They get a less spot but the likelihood of a team winning it that isn't in the top 4 is small.

I'm going to be 'optimistic' and say 5th, but it's going to be touch and go. 4th is out of the question I'm afraid, it'll be Europa league again next season and maybe why Torres will want to bugger off.

6th is the best we can hope for imo. That would be decent especially if we'd finish on the high note with some wins away and consistently good performances game after game.
