A REQUEST - Rafa Net Tranfser spend

I know this isn't worthy of a new thread but a Manc mate of mine is really ****ing me off banging on about Rafa and transfer spend etc... all the old Sky brainwashed ****e.

I'm no good at doing the search thingy on here for old threads and things so can someone please point me in the directon of the confirmed (near as dammit) transfer figures showing Rafa's net spend over his time as our manager
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

His figures work out at somewhere between £11m-£16m per year, depending on accurate transfer fees. Hold on...
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

£80m net, give or take, over 6 seasons.

£13.3m a year to overhaul an entire squad and rebuild it into title winners.

And he so nearly did it.

This ought to be made in to a sticky given it gets requested at least once a month on average.

what we really need to do is just starting to spread word about http://www.lfchistory.net/, a fantastic site towards stats, history, stories etc. about LFC. and in the http://www.lfchistory.net/Transfers/ you can see all the records by manager or by season.

either that or promote google, it works wonders as well

Yeah...Birdy...if your **** mate wants the fees verifying, go to the LFC History site as posted by Darkon. Most of those fees I posted will be correct, that is taken from a Dominic King article in the Echo a while back. The fees will be spot on, near as dammit.

I've had this row loads of times with Mancs and Bitters, and every time that list pretty much shuts them up. Just makes them come out with more desperate things like "well the list is full of **** players and he spent £230m, end of"

there are always some small variations between the sums mentioned across platforms, only the bookkeepers at anfield will know for sure.

And just to make a change he's still not getting it.
I've just listed the players Man U had when Rafa joined and Ferdinand, Scholes, Giggs, Rooney, Fletcher, O'Shea and Wes Brown still play or feature in 80% of their games. Only rat face plays less.

They don't get the concept that if you finish 30 points behind you need to spend more to catch up than you do to stay infront.
4 years later we finish 2 points behind them with the highest points total never to win the league and he is still asking me why LFC fans love Rafa so much.

Manc's I can take it off because they are as one eyed as us but when our own fans started on with this ****e they should all have been branded like cattle to show up their ignorance.
I'm ****ing serious, side of the cheek or forehead

its amazing how often they go on about it.

i have one manc uncle (no one can work out why he is) and he goes on about it. and i have to put him straight all the time. liberal use of the words veron djemba djema and other failed signings helps the discussion get spicy
