Correction, there is but perhaps we can attract a better quality striker than Ngog.
I think Rudo meant that HE cant have the idea that N'Gog should be ahead of Kuyt. And it seems you agree And i probably do too. But they have both been nowhere near good enough on recent showings. Albeit very limited ones, for N'gog.

I'd sell if we can get a decent value for him. Loaning him to me would be a distant second option.

Sometimes Rudo confuses the heck out of me

I think he's good enough to warrant a regular starting place for most Premiership clubs. Wigan would be a decent destination for him if they stay up this season.

Name one premiership club that would start him. Wigan have Roda???? & Di Santo & only play one up top.

Blackpool, Wolves and possibly WBA all could be using him as a starter.

The problem with strongly defending a player is that it can look like you think the player in question is the greatest ever

I've criticised Kuyt in the past, and there was a time when i'd have sold him without any hesitation, then over time i realised and appreciated his contribution hence i would be sad to see the back of him.

If we buy a few players in the wide areas during the summer and Suarez and Carroll hit it off up front there's no way he'd get into my starting line up.
However keeping a hard-working, experienced, and versatile player to be part of the squad is a no brainer imo.

Wolves play Doyle & West Brom play the guy that is scoring bucket loads. Both of those play 1 forward. I'm not sure about Blackpool.

I really think Ngog would struggle to start for another prem team.

I like the lad, don't get me wrong, I just don't think he offers enough. He's a really good finisher but every other aspect of his game is poor.

If you take your logic into account, he was only available for 4/8. Flawed logic though, idiot got sent off against Utd (which you don't count!) & banned for next 3.
N'Gog is 21? He's scored more goals this season than Rooney! Again, if people want to discount the first half of the season under Hodgson, then they'll have to wait & see who the manager wants.

My point is, having someone who is pretty much impotent up front = lack of goal threat.

                            Not rocket surgery.

It seems we've been pretty much linked to every striker on the planet at the moment. If any one of those come off then yes we should get rid of Ngog. He hasn't had a bad minutes played to goals game ratio. I think we could get 5-6million for.

p.s did you mean to write "rocket surgery??"
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Wolves play Doyle (and Fletcher sometimes upfront) and even though I think Doyle is better in terms of holding the ball and passing, Ngog can offer them more in terms of goal scoring. WBA prefers to play Odemwingie and Fortune together and while Odemwingie is pretty decent Fortune is not. He is very physical but not really a goal threat.

I think Ngog would do well in all 3 teams but I just don't see him progressing with L4. He can be 3rd or maybe 4th option but he'll never be leading the line.

I also would not agree that he's really good finisher. He wastes a great deal of opportunities before he puts some in the net. Yes he is still developing but at this age imo he should be better and I personally don't see him making it with us.

I think that Ngog could be a decent player the problem is he isn't big or physical enough to play as a lone striker as he has been asked to do, it would be interesting to see how he does with a big striker like Andy Carroll upfront with him to that he hasn't got two defenders focusing on him.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
