I think he'll stay tbh. He will be 4th choice by then in all competitions.

He's a player people should keep in mind when talking about youth coming through. He's too good for the reserves so that shows you the jump in quality.

Pacheco is an odd one as well now, is he another Babel? 3 managers now who haven't really wanted to give him a full opportunity...

Yeah. I guessed at the time they'd had bets on 1st goalscorer, hence Stevie's enthusiasm ...Smigga had clearly backed someone else and Ngog should have set up a team mate but chose to shoot. Actually it might have been when he stole it off Cole's boot. Smigga clearly called him a ******.

Not sure it's fair to say that three managers have overlooked him really mate.

When Rafa started blooding Pacheco in 2008-09 he was 18 (?). He rates him. We were awful in 2009-10 so perhaps Rafa didn't want to chuck him into an under-performing team.

You can't count Hodgson as a manager and everyone knows he doesn't like youth players.

It's early days with Kenny and we're also trying to push for 4th still and win the EL, so again possibly not the right time for Pacheco. He's getting in the squads though but I also think that he can't do any worse than some of our players this season. Who knows?!

I think people are perhaps being overly harsh on him, he hasn't played much football since Kenny came in and has been playing the majority of the time as a lone striker which IMO doesn't suit him. He's decent I see him as a 3rd choice striker and in that role he's fine. It would be nice to have someone better but there are other areas that need addressing more urgently.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

N'gog looked like he was feeling pressure last night, not sure he wasn't a bit psyched out by Repka from the first game.

He should change his name to N'Dog as far as I'm concerned!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

N'gog has been laughably **** in the last few months hasn't he

His days are numbered with Carroll coming back from injury. Can't see him staying beyond the summer now. It's a bit of a shame as he did show some potential for a while.

I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

He always seemed like a bit of a long shot sine he arrived, not that young, not well fancied other than by out scouts, 1.5 million.

The miss-kicks he made against Sparta weren't really typical of him and he's obviously struggling with something, maybe the pressure. He could still develop into a good player if he plays with confidence for an extended run. I think he should go to France. He'd get a first team chance at a decent club ad can try to make a name for himself in his homeland.

I actually think it shows how much we lack in squad depth that he has played so often.

Liverpool FC put £8m price tag on striker David Ngog

LIVERPOOL have slapped an £8million price tag on striker David Ngog.

The Reds are prepared to sell the 22-year-old Frenchman who is keen to secure regular first team football.

There have been a number of enquiries from clubs across Europe, including Newcastle United, but there have so far been no bids matching Liverpool's valuation.

Ngog has scored 19 goals in 94 appearances for the Reds since his £1.5million move from Paris St Germain three years ago.

The former France Under-21 international made 18 starts and a further 20 substitute appearances this season but his chances were severely limited following the Reds' £57.8million swoop for strikers Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll in January.

Ngog was handed just two starts under Kenny Dalglish and both of those came in the Europa League. Five of his eight goals this term came in Europe.

A fee of £8million would represent a big return on Liverpool's investment but they believe it's a fair amount for developing Ngog from an unknown rookie into a relatively experienced top flight frontman.

As well as listening to offers for Ngog, Liverpool are set to step up their pursuit of Aston Villa's Stewart Downing after he shelved contract talks.

The England winger has said he's at “a major crossroads” in his career and has no interest in discussing a new deal with Villa.
