If we'd shown the attitude that we showed in the last 10 mins we'd have won it at a canter....

Why the **** did it take so long for us to wake up?
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

    F*** off!!!

We were rubbish 1st half, and only a little better 2nd half. Lets face it they were up for it and we were not, simples.

Bad is correct. We didn't have midfield today at all. Couldn't control the ball, couldn't link up with Suarez, give it up so easily etc.

Started the game **** and it leaves you with a mountain to climb especially when confidence seems so fragile. I think we should have talen the wind out of west hams sails by keeping the ball and frustrating them. Not necessarily making any inroads but just passing the ball around.

          ****in gutted

Johnson was abysmal today Matt. Fair play to him for getting the goal but he was useless throughtout, actually what does he do? As was Skrtel whom you constantly defend, car wreck of a defender.

Suarez was our best player today.

agreed Maxi should have started, in a game like today that was frantic and Wham not giving time we needed someone with better touch, control and passing thank Dirk.

Reina had the predictably horrific Carra/Skrtel partnership in front of him but was poor today.

Only shining light was Suarez, insane movement and world class first touch, left isolated for long periods but looks lethal in the box. Can't wait for the Carroll/Suarez partnership. Anyways embarrassing but typical Liverpool performance, played off the park and deserved nothing out of the game.
Thought Skrtel and Kuyt were exceptionally poor

Thought Johnson from an attacking threat was ok

Gerrard didnt look fit (ditto Cole), Lucas was poor this season but I've seen him worse this season

Wilson I'm not sure on hes not a leftback as a centrehalf then maybe

Thought Reina was poor for the final one

Skrtel is ****ing shocking he is constantly being bullied by players I await those fantastic stats that will prove he was our best defender today and that Carragher was to blame because he couldnt pass

For some reason I feel for Suarez right now...he's far too good for us and doesn't deserve not to have Champions League football next season. He says this was a step forward in his career, IMHO after looking at our players and performances it's a step back.

The squad suffered a relapse of Hodgson's disease today.

We (IMO) have 4 average CB's plus Agger. Cramming as many of them onto the pitch at once is not the way forwad imo

352 is fine when you dominate the ball, but we were deep and flat as ****

We looked much better when we changed shape but it was far too late. Wilson is not ready by a long shot

It didn't. It took them that long to tire.

                            I think today we learnt:

Our defence needs sorting, I've had my doubts about Skrtel, he makes too many mistakes for me he is always likely to make a mistake like we did for the 3rd goal today. We need a couple of good centre backs who have decent pace and can play the ball from the back.

Joe Cole still lacking in fitness

Again for me Gerrard isn't a regular centre midfielder and we need a midfield enforcer, who will press the opposition and do the dirty work (like the West Ham midfield did today)

Wilson isn't a left back and isn't ready for the first team yet, he looked badly out of his depth.

We need to get the ball to Suarez more often he's a dangerous player but we didn't really give him a chance to show it.

I think we'll really miss Kelly.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                              He really wasn't

I constantly defend Skrtel do I? How come I didn't know about this. You simply refuse to give Johnson any credit no matter what.

Suarez did well for what little part of the game he got involved in.

The same 3-5-2 that got us an away win at Chelsea?

I think the system is deployed because of the players we currently have, not becuase Kenny sees it as the way forward, although it works so much better with Agger in it as he can step out from the back and become an extra midfielder

We were overun in midfield today Parker was superb and along with Hitslsperger and Noble they controlled that part of the game

Gerrard was poor, and I am not sure that, long term, he has the discipline to play as a central midfileder in a 2 unless the other player does all of the defensive work.
