Carra, Wilson, Skrtel, Pepe, Lucas, Kuyt, Ngog were all awful today. Glen wasn't great but had a much better game than almost everybody today.

Gerrard didnt look fit (ditto Cole), Lucas was poor this season but I've seen him worse this season

Wilson I'm not sure on hes not a leftback as a centrehalf then maybe

Thought Reina was poor for the final one

Skrtel is ****ing shocking he is constantly being bullied by players I await those fantastic stats that will prove he was our best defender today and that Carragher was to blame because he couldnt pass

An all round ****e fest basically. Ah just when you get the glimmer of hope that LFC are making a push, clank!!! Straight back down to earth.

It's bizarre you'd think he'd be strong but he just gets bullied all the time, really need some investment in the CB area in the summer.

I say abysmal (bit much maybe) as he had no defense responsibility today and had a role in which he should thrive on, i much prefer him away from the defense but just a squad player IMO for next season, or sell. And add Stevie to that list as he was woeful, shouldn't have been playing, barely broke past strolling pace.

Poor performance. Suarez is great, he does turns like I haven't seen a player do (for us) in a while. Two-footed, takes half-decent free kicks and corners.
Meireles was poor, I think in a tough away game from home he didn't provide a lot of bite, all I can remember was that lofted ball into the box.
We were unlucky with the team selection, I think away from home, playing Cole on the left with Wilson was always going to be a weak spot. Shame about Kelly, he's solid, reminds me a lot of Finnan - you can count on him. Finnan was a rock.
Gerrard was ****ing woeful, unbelievably ****, the amount of times he gave the ball away was sad. Good left-footed pile driver, shame it didn't go in, c'est la vie. And when he decided to take that free kick in the latter stages to the far post I was in despair.
Lucas has good close control, when he receives a ball and moves it on. Seemed to have given the ball away a fair bit though, but he's the go-to guy for the defense, he seems to be there all the time as an outlet and does nice straight passes into the top third.
Carra's distribution ****ing riles me so much, EVERY ****ing ball he hoofs and we ALWAYS lose possession, it drives me ****ing mad. Every. Time.
Johnson had a half-decent game, our right side seemed more solid with Kuyt there, Meireles cannot play RM. Our left side was ****. Wilson unfortunately needs more game-time and is very one footed, but he's young and his confidence seemed to go.
Ngog played relatively well, I would like him to cross the ball more often when he's outside instead of trying to slowly play his way into the middle, often losing possession.
Joe Cole on the left is no good really, he has a non-existent left-foot so he always cuts inside and he loses possession a lot, he just doesn't have strength to hold off a man, a second man comes, bam, ball's gone.

Fair enough he may not be fit, certainly not 100% but he's been like this for the whole season and most of last. STEP ****ING UP
I worry for Gerrard long term nothing to do with performance wise today but think about formations

He cant play central midfield in a 4-4-2 because he vacates the midfield space too often which puts pressure on your other central midfield player to be outstanding defensively

We dont look like we will play a system where he can play off the front man

When we play 4-3-3 we give Raul licence to push on which again means you have the same problem as you would in 4-4-2

Bit of a reality check today but we knew there was some work to do in the summer.

We are a poor side in need of major surgery to challenge at the top.

Your constant attacks on Johnson are tiresome at best

I bet your the type of person who goes to a game and abuses a player for most of it until they score then you are jumping around celebrating like a mentalist

                        Good: suarez, wilson (second half)
                        Bad: reina, kuyt, lucas, gerrard
                        Ugly: wilson ( first half)

The rest were just very average.

Most worryingly is that Reina hasn't looked at the races recently.

I think the system is deployed because of the players we currently have, not becuase Kenny sees it as the way forward, although it works so much better with Agger in it as he can step out from the back and become an extra midfielder

We were overun in midfield today Parker was superb and along with Hitslsperger and Noble they controlled that part of the game

Gerrard was poor, and I am not sure that, long term, he has the discipline to play as a central midfileder in a 2 unless the other player does all of the defensive work.
It was a different shape to that day though. We played a midfield, er, inverted diamond almost, against Chelsea. We didn't have 2 strikers pushed up like we did today and it showed. If we push our midfield up against theirs and negate the counter-attack then it's fine, but we did the opposite today. We conceded so much space in the middle and invited them onto us

I can see it's because of the players, but it clearly didn't suit playing against todays opposition. To be fair we changed it, but much too late imo

As regards Skrtel, been saying it for so long now, he is a complete pussy. All the tattoos and the skin head means **** all. He is a CB thats does not win headers and gets constantly pushed off the ball, he is terrible of the ground and terrible in possession.

Summer time IMO he should be shipped out, complete liability. I actually prefer Soto
