I do think a lot of the criticism of him is at times over the top but in the grand scheme of things at best he should be a squad player offerring cover for any of the central midfield positions we have in mindBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. Watched it live from hospitality box. Faubert and obinna in next box. They were blinged right up and some lovely ladies. We were ****. Deserved to lose. What is worse is some Liverpool fan next to me joining in with the sign on songs and slaging off reina. Cocks.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

I think Lucas is the most improved player at the Club over theOriginally posted by danperkins View PostLucas is a consistant performer, he puts in a shift so to speak he has done well this season IMO. But he could easily be replaced next season IMO, Scotty Parker made Lucas looked mediocre today.
past 2/3 years . I genuinely think he is still a work in progress
and there"s more to come . Days like these tho do set us back.

Its not about the fouls its where you are giving themOriginally posted by Mattshark View PostYes he averaged a whole 2 fouls a game last season.
Hes a banker for giving them in the final third in dangerous positions in and around our box
He does this because hes either not set positionally or hes too slow
Its not because hes a great tackler and is being hard done byBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

He is a ****ing DM, he plays in front of the back line, any FK given is going to be in a dangerous position. He gives very few away though, much less than many other players in that position and less even than Mascher did.Originally posted by danperkins View PostHe is a banker to give a free kick away in a dangerous position. Sorry but it is a ****ing stupid argument against him.

He is a playing at DM, a position where most players playing there give away many more fouls and when playing in deep mid, if you give away away a foul it is always likely to be dangerous, doesn't give away many.Originally posted by Lecter View PostIts not about the fouls its where you are giving them

He gives away very few and people still spout this **** and it really doesn't bare up to scrutiny.

No matt, the big difference is that Mascherano was a master at giving free kicks away in positions that weren't threatening.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostHe is a ****ing DM, he plays in front of the back line, any FK given is going to be in a dangerous position. Masch did foul alot, but smart fouls just to break up attacks or play. Sure he gave some silly ones away, but Lucas is very prone to giving silly free kicks away in very dangerous areas.
It really isn't a stupid argument and has been said many times before about Lucas. Its not taking shots at Lucas Matt, it's just a part of his game that he needs to work on, relax dude this has been said before by many people, not just me
Really no need for the old angry cursey words either, not in this instance

Bull****, Mascher made plenty around the penalty area too. It is bs myth you are propagating just like the "Lucas gives the ball" crap that was spouted for so long.Originally posted by danperkins View PostNo matt, the big difference is that Mascherano was a master at giving free kicks away in positions that weren't threatening.

**** result, very poor performance overall and especially in the back.
We actually created a few chances in the game, but with the open invite at the back it meant nothing whatsoever.
Suarez did well, but had a ****ty partner up front.
Our whole defence was woefull beyond belief, west ham did what they pleased throughout.
Reina had a seldom poor match.
