Having Kenny back in charge has just reminded me why I love LFC - he's embodies everything good and great about it

When Kenny scored that goal for us V Bruge in Wembley and jumped over the hoarding he ran straight toward me - except for the barriers I thought he was gonna jump in to the crowd and celebrate with"me" . I pull that story out every time I get drunk and tell me family - dont get invited round much anymore to their homes ,,,,,can ya believe that ??????

He is the reason i started supporting our institution. I distinctly remenber him scoring that goal in the Euro final at Wembley and stopping in my tracks. I was 6.

That goal, and his celebration, still gives me goose pimples. Ever since, i'm happy to say, i've suffered from Liverpool-itis.

Agreed . Those posts by Reece are a grand tribute to our Kenny- good on you man . I posted what looks like a poem - its not . I was on the way over to Liverpool on the B+I boat the year we won the Euro in Wembley and got talking to and drinking with a few Belfast Reds .One of em thought me a song about our King and I remember just two of the verses now . We have become a family us Reds - and its down to Shanks and Kenny and some other past and present members of our Club who became the glue which held us together -particularly during the painful times in our history . Are"nt we a lucky bunch of footie fans ?? I think we are .

I absolutely love him to bits. He's been at the club since my 10th birthday, he feels like part of the family. I actually well up with emotion just about every time I see or read about him. There will never be anyone who comes even close to him when it comes to embodying the spirit of Liverpool FC.
