Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Much though I hate to bring yet another thread round to this, but....
I do find it somewhat bizarre that so many people seem so entirely prepared to stick the boot in on Gerrard and Carra over the Rafa thing, based almost entirely on rumour and speculation, when so many other players including the likes of Alonso also had their issues with Rafa's man-management style. Rafa was undoubtedly a great tactician and had a special relationship with the fans, however none of us have any actual experience of what it was like being managed by the guy to contradict the obvious conclusion from available evidence that, were there to have been one area Rafa was probably lacking in, it was in maintaining a consistently positive relationship with the playing staff.
Gerrard and particularly Carra have been great servants of the club, and in my mind at least, deserve just a touch more leeway and understanding than some people seem prepared to give them over this issue. Which is ironic considering just how much leeway and understanding the same people can afford to our ex-manager.
Oh, and on topic, Hodgson is a fool.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Gerrard, Carragher and Torres' role in the removal of Rafa was terribleOriginally posted by Arn View PostSome people will of course defend Carra and Gerrard no matter how much proof you present infront of them just because they are Carra and Gerrard.
Gerrard had this choice to make. Back Rafa and his good friend Carra would be a bit part player this season and would be playing his last season for us or back Carra getting rid of Rafa and by that way give Carra the chance to stay and play in almost every game, IMO.
I wonder what choice he made?
I will defend Carragher and Gerrard against some of your preposterous attacks / criticisms but not this oneBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

What about Rafa's role in the removal of Rafa? Crying out loud, anyone would think we were some dominant crushing machine in his last season with a manager loved by all the fans and everyone else at the club, not a team that frequently underperformed with a manager who was really quite isolated, partially at least through his own doing.Originally posted by Lecter View PostGerrard, Carragher and Torres' role in the removal of Rafa was terrible
I was a big Rafa fan, but some of the revisionist history that passes for fact these days about him is bordering on the ridiculous. If players are unhappy under a manager why shouldn't they express it inhouse... its not their fault if the powers that be at the time choose to act upon it.
Yeah I know, I always regret bringing it up for the ****storm it inevitably causes, and for the way it inevitably seems to cast me on one side of the RCDNW/R debate I spent years fighting to avoid on this very site, but someone has to balance some of this stuff just occasionally.Originally posted by Darkon View Post

It's like a sect sometimes regarding Rafa. It feels like more people are talking about him than the club in this place. Or maybe the people who do post more often?"Justice has been done."

It's not just about Rafa though is it? Saying having "a lot of Spaniards" being such an issue is just ****ing stupid & bordering on racism. It's not even like the Spanish lads-and coaches- we had were substandard is it?Originally posted by MrMichael View PostMuch though I hate to bring yet another thread round to this, but....

Each time just as I try to forget Carra's alleged involvement in Rafa's dismissal & concentrate on the wider issue of LFc, he comes out with **** like this.3rd place. Worst champions ever.
