I genuinely think it is a week league this year but United are still consistently the best team in it and beating them is thus a good result. They didn't play well but we did the right things to exploit that - we certainly weren't doing that earlier in the season.

The only real downside of the game was how obvious the paper thin nature of our squad was. We needed another, trustworthy CM, we were down to the last options at the back etc. I know that it would look better if Carroll and Cole (perhaps) were genuinely fit enough to be in contention for a place but I still think it is a major worry.
A weak league indeed, had the correct decision being made in the summer regarding the manager i have no doubt we'd be currently at the top, even with the same squad. Roll on 2011/2012.

Also pretty much all players of any note are getting new contracts at the minute - apparently because HMRC has informed clubs (via the PL I think) they are going to be clamping down on some of ways they try to avoid paying tax on player image rights and the like.

Fair point, the mancs are really missing a top DM, i was surprised Fergie didn't play Fletcher in the CM as their yard dog, IMO would have gave their much more solid midfield. Have no doubts they'll sort that position out come the summer.

I just don't see it, it's hardly as if he has a reputation for being a dirty player or a history with Nani.
I agree. He's not that dirty a player. The reason I think he did it was as Giggs had just been moved to the right. Carra hadn't started at RB himself so wanted to get a clatter in early to give Nani something to think about. I think players will always apologise afterwards whether it's deliberate or not. I know I did!

No one knows for sure though so guess it's just speculation.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them going for Masch, a real yard dog.

I doubt he would come back to England given his family were unhappy here
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                Hopefully that's the case.

Oh, that's fair enough. I thought you were implying that he wanted to injure Nanny (was a typo, but I'm gonna keep it after his antics. ) and was just waiting on his chance. Aye, I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to hit him hard (fairly).
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

completely agree, and to be honest i think he'd fit perfectly into their side. He'd also have no qualms about playing for them either, regardless of being a former LFC player.

Where the **** was Nani's shinpad?

Not that I give a **** he got splattered - my opinion is he bottled it, knew that he'd ****ed up with the second goal and thought he could mask his **** up by going off injured and get a bit of sympathy. I can confirm he will be available for United's next game
