That's how I saw it too. IMO the tackle was just poorly timed and not malicious, the outcome was just unfortunate. I think the injury to Nani makes people think the challenge was worse than it was. It looks bad but I imagine he won't be out too long. IMO Rafael's challenge was worse but because Lucas got out of the way and wasn't injured little is being said about that. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

At times this seasons its been like Highbury and you could hear a pin drop but times like to today it was bouncing. its getting better under Kenny, but sometimes the team needs to play a part and vice a versa - Under Woy we never got that.
Did anyone notice Evra and a fella having a few words right in first half ?I make no apologies, this is me

Dont think we ever recovered from being made to sit at games . I spent most of me youth on the Kop ,,,think it held 27,000 back in the day - hair on the back of the neck stood up and to be honest I never quiet got used to that .Got the same buzz for 25 years - loved that hill mate. We still rock the place tho imoOriginally posted by mick the click View Post
Haven't been to Anfield for years
but it does seem to be 'ordinary' these days in terms of noise and wit, and I just wondered if it's just what the telly mikes pick up.
Absolutely loved the Happy Birthday though.

If they are that old then we really need to replace them. Martins don't stand a chance.Originally posted by Neil Young View Post

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Fletcher would have done a better job at tracking our midfield runners. BTW I think that's one aspect of Liverpool's game that's improved, players running forward from midfield, and not only the same one all the time, i.e. Gerrard.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

It's probably because he is on a charge and he cannot be seen to having his usual rant, slagging anybody and everybody off about how this result happened bar himself or his players, of course!Originally posted by Reece View Postthisisanfield This Is Anfield
How about this - Fergie, football's sorest loser, not speaking to media after today's game and has ordered players not to either

Yep - we were spoiled. I used to get jammed between the bars on the windows at the back of the Kop by my dad and uncles and told to hold on tight and not tell my mum. Subsequently grew up to spend many an afternoon/night bouncing round making myself hoarse - there's no feeling like it, and it's difficult to explain what it was like.
There was an LP released in the 60s - we'd just won the league and the bitters had won the FA Cup, I think. I think I've still got it - as far as I can remember its got loads of interviews and recordings of the craic.
I'm going to see if I can ferret it out - see if I can post it.
