Correct the mistakes after the game and you get a fairer game.
Do you though, what about disallowed goals and wrong offside decisions, you can't correct those after the game.

This rule about not being able to change the yellow cards to reds after the match may be far from perfect but it at least draws a line under things.

This maybe controversial but I think that judging the incident as seen is the fairest way, altering the decision 2 days or a week later takes things out of context, allows things to happen on the back of media hype and manager reaction. If someone commits a foul that is borderline yellow/red they are booked at the time if the fouled player is injured that is likely to bias the opinion afterwards than if the player gets up and is fine, but it doesn't make the tackle any more deserving of a red card.

He's dead. His body is as we speak being carted through the streets of Lisbon in an open casket en route to Fatima where he will be bestowed with eternal sainthood.

I would love to move away from this crap about the fouls, pages and pages of the same crap. On another note, did anyone notice the position Meireles was taking up? Our formation was really odd but worked so well with maxi. They played so narrow but it seemed to work so well coming behind the strikers, when so often our lack of width seemed to cost us dearly.

Without taking credit from our boys it was as much to do with the scum's non existent midfield, there was acres of space as was well highlighted on MOTD.

And they have just rewarded Carrick with a 3 year contract

Poor judgement will almost always result in injury in any contact sport, to clamp down on that would take the competitive edge out of the game.

Surprised Skrtel has went so long without the same photoshop.
I must be mad then (confirmation of what many know!). There was intent imo.

How much of that though is due to us creating space by good running off the ball, movement, etc?

I genuinely think it is a week league this year but United are still consistently the best team in it and beating them is thus a good result. They didn't play well but we did the right things to exploit that - we certainly weren't doing that earlier in the season.

The only real downside of the game was how obvious the paper thin nature of our squad was. We needed another, trustworthy CM, we were down to the last options at the back etc. I know that it would look better if Carroll and Cole (perhaps) were genuinely fit enough to be in contention for a place but I still think it is a major worry.

Carrick himself probably finds that as hilarious as us!

Why would he though? What would he have gained from it? Why would he have apologised afterwards?

I just don't see it, it's hardly as if he has a reputation for being a dirty player or a history with Nani.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think he has, generally, been very good for them this season. They need to get him a more suitable partner but he's a lot better player than many give him credit for.
