I do think the injury played a major part. He took very few free kicks and corners (if any) also which is very unlike him. It’s very unusual for Lucas to be swinging free-kicks in. I was very surprised to see him finish the game.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Apparently Rooney was laughing at Nani crying?
It was a strange match yesterday from a United point of view.
Fergie seemed very friendly(overly) with the Liverpool bench before and after kick off and even at the final whistle he shook Sammy Lee's hand then gave him a big pat on the back
As for Rooney i thought getting outplayed and hammered by Liverpool would make him lose the plot and charge around the pitch like a bull but he was as calm as i've ever seen him on the pitch.

Where would he could though? I can't see it tbh.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostI think Rooney is finished at United. The edge to his game, which made him so competitive has gone. I don't think he wants to be there, he wanted out earlier in the season.
When we went 2 up, i said to my mate 'wait to you see Rooney losing it now' then when Carragher did Nani i thought this his ideal opportunity to go running at the Ref and go charging around..but he did **** all
And in the 2nd half, it was much of the same. there was no drive from him to get his time back into, looked as though he just accepted defeat.
He wasn't alone tbf, most of the United team were ****e y'day.

He's a completely different player this year. Sure injuries had some to do with that but his pace and the fluency of movement in the box is not there.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostI think Rooney is finished at United. He'll score an odd goal here and there but he's not a threat as he used to be.
I think Hernandez gives them much more now and he probaby should be paired more often with Berba than Wayne.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Just a thought but is there any change that the Rooney transfer request and subsequent pacifying of him (new contract etc) could be a deal done like they did with Ronaldo and we have done with Alonso that he'll agree to stay a bit longer but they will let him go (perhaps a clause in his contract allowing him to leave at some determined point or if an offer meeting a valuation comes in)?Originally posted by NigelLG View PostI think Rooney is finished at United. I think he'll be around much longer than a single season. He's been contemplating retirement now for years and he is still here.Originally posted by Rudo View PostNah i think he'll still be there next season fella...next season could well be his last one though.

Who knows what Fergie is thinking but with Scholes and Giggs probably only have one season left after this, Fergie might want to call it a day with them.... Not to mention VDS retiring in the summer and Gary Neville already retired.Originally posted by Mostar View PostI think he'll be around much longer than a single season. Even if it was I doubt he would have told the players after what happened last time. Also didn't he say recently that he had no plans to leave, although we know what he says is worthless, I can't see him going until he has at least has taken the Scum to 19 titles.Originally posted by PaddyPool View PostLast season for whiskey nose ???The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Ball was down by the corner flag and Carragher was charging over to Rooney (as was Gerrard)
Carragher blocked tackled Rooney and the ball spun towards Gerrard who again blocked tackled Rooney. Rooney then made as though he was going to kick Gerrard but stopped himself. He then sheepishly looked at Carragehr & Gerrard
For all Rooneys bravado and supposed toughness hes always scared of those twoBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
