It was a strange match yesterday from a United point of view.
Fergie seemed very friendly(overly) with the Liverpool bench before and after kick off and even at the final whistle he shook Sammy Lee's hand then gave him a big pat on the back

As for Rooney i thought getting outplayed and hammered by Liverpool would make him lose the plot and charge around the pitch like a bull but he was as calm as i've ever seen him on the pitch.
Would love to see that evidence.

End of an era sorta thing.
I can see where you coming from but I think in his mind he has so much more to achieve.

He strikes me as a type that will not stop until he takes away all our records, which will require in theory at least few more years (not that I can see that happening).

Bloke on the radio said it. Didn't make it a big issue. Was mentioned, that's all.

        Could be bull****.

            Why you highlighting that for?

I just mentioned it, couldn't really give a **** if he did or didn't.

It was on a radio station in Belfast, two presenters...one a Liverpool fan and one a United fan talking about the match for a minute, max.

I did see Rooney stood by Nani getting treatment, and he did seem to bounce the ball in an irritated fashion, shook his head to iirc as if to say..."oh get the **** up ffs Ninny!"

My first impression is that he won't want to go until they at least get to 19, I'm not sure how bothered he'd be/how much he could do about the European Cups. They could get to 19 this year If they do that I'm unsure what he'll do: he could go out there on a high winning the title and making them the most successful club. Staying beyond that would probably require a rebuilding job and I'm not sure he'll build another team, it will perhaps be more difficult for him than ever next year. If they don't win 19th title this year I think he'll stay at least another trying to get it with this team but I'm still not sure he'll stay to rebuild them.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Just to confirm to anyone who doubts Rooney was on the pitch yesterday, its understood he was in Carra's pocket for the whole game.

I'm so excited. And I just cant hide it. I'm about to loose control and I think I like it.

He usually is, I cant ever remember him having a good game against us, the only two goals he's got were a massive clanger by Dudek and a rebound from a penalty he choked.

Carragher blocked tackled Rooney and the ball spun towards Gerrard who again blocked tackled Rooney. Rooney then made as though he was going to kick Gerrard but stopped himself. He then sheepishly looked at Carragehr & Gerrard

For all Rooneys bravado and supposed toughness hes always scared of those two
Said exactly the same at the time...he was gonna boot Gerrard until he realised who it was.

i thought i saw rooney laughing at nani. as vermillion says there's one bit of footage where he's bouncing the ball and just walks off smiling and chuckling to himself. knowingly that nani was such a poof.
