No Suarez or Agger or Aurelio I'm suspecting but not sure how long Agger is meant to be out for ? (anyone know ? )

I'm doubting that Gerrard will be risked also and only expecting Carroll off the bench. So who will start ?

Have I missed any injuries also please anyone ?
The official site has no return date for any of the injured players (it was updated on the 6th). Physio room sheds no more light on the situation.

Given the time off before the next PL match I'd expect us to use a pretty much full strength team. I guess that Gerrard would be the only question mark. I guess the question is whether we play Ngog or Cole in the place of Suarez.

I'm pretty sure Agger re-joined full training when Aurelio did so he must be very close to playing again.

I expect to see something like:

        Reina

        Carra Soto Skrtel Johnson

        Lucas Poulsen

        Kuyt Gerrard Meireles Cole

Tricky place to go and play, the stadium is in what looks like a quarry! They are no mugs either, they've had some good results in Europe this year.

Glad to see the thread is back on topic. Let's keep it there please boys and girls.

            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I like Angryred. He (or she) speaks his (or her) mind. I like that.

Whenever I first see his (or her) username I always read it as Angharad for a moment.

I think his first start will be the Sunderland game personally.

                        Get stuck into them Mackems!

I think Carroll's first start will be against Braga at home.

I do expect him to come on in the second half of the game on Thursday.

                          20-25 minutes would be good.

I think that's asking alot unless he only plays 60 minutes or so.

He's had 15 minutes game time in the best part of three months and if we revert to our habit of defending a bit too deep he'll be chasing a lot of hoofs from the back.

Maybe better to bring him on as an impact sub.

I'd like to see him get match fitness with the Braga games by coming off the bench, hopefully we won't need him to get us through anyway

Need to build the fitness for this last stretch of the league, take as many points as possible play well and make players and other teams think "hang on Liverpool look like they're on the way back up"

We'd absolutely batter them if that was the team
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
