This season he's started 12 games in all competitions and only finished 7 of them, last season he started 13 games and finished 7 of them.

So in 2 years he's only been fit enough to start 25 games, and only fit enough to finish 14 of them. As good a player as I think he is he just isn't dependable. If we have him we need someone else available because he's only fit enough to start ~25% of games.

Well at least he is consistent, which is more than can be said for a lot of our squad.

I think everyone is preventing disappointment when is inevitable injury comes around and pretending he has never played.

The way he brings the ball into midfield makes a massive difference to the team. Johnson would benefit a lot from looking at the way he chooses options in deep positions.

I think everyone has more or less accepted that his injury record means as good as he is we can't rely on him and we need other options.
