FFS, he's had one like this before. With the crack doctors, surgeons we have at the club, we should just clone him and give the clone some medicine to grow in 2 years so that we get a young and fit Aurelio.

Yup. Dislocated his shoulder whilst doing the ironing when he was about 21 I think. He came back to England a good few years later and played for Southampton, but I don't think he was ever a regular there.Originally posted by CJ View Postdont we need to add stensgaard or whatever he was called that young keeper we had. didnt he end his career ironing or something like that? i think i remember he went back home and played a bit?
Stensgaard. I had his name on the back of an old goalie top years ago.

Is it the same one? I snapped my Achillies playing footy, usually the one they repair becomes stronger then the other one, which is what happened to me. I wouldn't be suprised if it's his other one that went.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostFFS, he's had one like this before. I've suffered over the last few years with Achilles Tendinosis problems, they heal notoriously slowly as there is very little blood flow to your heels.
I also get permanent lumps on the back of both ankles from extra bone growth. Basically the tendon comes away from the bone and when it heals the bone grows a bit extra each time to repair it. Leaving me with large bumps on the back of each heel :haha It's an absolute nightmare and very painful
I can't play football any more (or any sport that involves sprinting or turning). That's why I go jogging instead as it doesn't put too much strain on my Achilles.
I also had something similar with my knees, called Osgood–Schlatter disease. Same thing as my ankles really, the tendon rips off from the bone (it ****ing hurts) then when it heals you're left with knobbly knees

Perhaps it would have been better if I'd just snapped them then?

A bum with IRWT or my ankles and knees?Originally posted by Lee View PostThat sounds ****ing awful mate.

Yeah it's a bit **** really, but as long as I take it careful when running its alright.
It just means I had to announce my retirement from International Football at the tender age of 27
