Yeah it's a bit **** really, but as long as I take it careful when running its alright.

It just means I had to announce my retirement from International Football at the tender age of 27
I was replying to your original post. But yeah, I wouldn't want to touch IRWT either.

You had such a big future ahead of you too.

And I thought Dyer was unfortunate, but at least he got 2 mintues on the pitch. Poor Fabio, made of glass.

Basically the tendon comes away from the bone and when it heals the bone grows a bit extra each time to repair it. Leaving me with large bumps on the back of each heel :haha It's an absolute nightmare and very painful

I can't play football any more (or any sport that involves sprinting or turning). That's why I go jogging instead as it doesn't put too much strain on my Achilles.

I also had something similar with my knees, called Osgood–Schlatter disease. Same thing as my ankles really, the tendon rips off from the bone (it ****ing hurts) then when it heals you're left with knobbly knees

Perhaps it would have been better if I'd just snapped them then?
Not sure about Osgood–Schlatter disease, sounds different from tendonitis, which can be caused by walking/running incorrectly which puts extra strain on the tendons which you can get assessed and treated before they snap.
This city has two great football teams – Liverpool and Liverpool reserves

              That sounds horrible Pablo.

Good that you can still go jogging at least.

Bad business, Pablo. Puts my hammy into perspective.
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

                    terrible stuff, pablo :S

what about other sports, for example bicycling? is that much easier for your injury, than let's say running?

Not really tried bicycling to be honest. Swimming is fine too. Also golf (yes Neil Young that is a sport ).

Main sports that I did play but can no longer do are football and tennis

Had the same thing myself when I was about 12/13. Doc said it was a result of a growth spurt and my shin bone and knee weren't properly aligned. Hurt a good bit back then but fine now. But as you say you are left with a big lump sticking out of each knee.
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

The real Pablo wouldn't let some poncy injury stop him from playing football.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
