Weird, I got this when I was 11, never met anyone else who had it, now I see two guys here have it too. Very painful at the time, still bothers me from time to time, I remember when I saw the doctor about it he said the only thing they could do was, if it got too painful, to break and reset my leg!! Scared the **** out of me.Originally posted by lucas View PostHad the same thing myself when I was about 12/13. Doc said it was a result of a growth spurt and my shin bone and knee weren't properly aligned. Hurt a good bit back then but fine now. But as you say you are left with a big lump sticking out of each knee.
Shame about Aurelio, I always kid myself into thinking this time he will stay fit, on the bright side at least I can still use him in FIFA 12

A mate's son has been diagnosed with it recently. They've got semi finals starting next weekend and a big Under 12's tournament lined up in Sydney a few weeks after it. He's hoping to be right for it but ...........Originally posted by usmasters View PostWeird, I got this when I was 11, never met anyone else who had it, now I see two guys here have it too. Golf is a game.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostNot really tried bicycling to be honest. Swimming is fine too. Also golf (yes Neil Young that is a sport

Main sports that I did play but can no longer do are football and tennis

OK, let's not go into all that again.
I had to give up football and tennis too.
The great thing about cycling over jogging is it's no impact (unless you fall off but that's different). Of course swimming is no impact too and is supposed to be even better for general fitness but it's so boring IMO.
I don't do bike racing but I also think it's easier to find a competitive element in cycling which keeps some of the old competitive spirit satisfied - you can compete against yourself, against the course, against previous times, etc. But I suppose if you're into some other purely athletic activity then you can find the same motivations there probably..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
