I really think this is a big danger of sending young players on loan to lower league teams on their own. Especially young foreign players. The football is not what they are used too, they are in an unfamiliar environment and so they find it hard to adjust and thus no one benefits from the loan.

I think Hammill has been fortunate that he's gone to a Dunfermiline side that, though struggling, has a very talented manager in charge that has brought them to within touching distance of safety from a position where they looked dead and buried.

When I see reports of Antwi being good for Accrington Stanley I'm happy but then the realisation that they are something like the 88th worst team in the league suggests that he's got quite some way to come.

Hammill had a good first 20/25 mins and had a good shot saved and fluffed a half chance where he was put through and had to take it first time but he cut back and nothing came of it. The lad has alot of skill but needs to work on his decision making. He faded away as the half come to an end but so did Dunfermilne.

Dunfermilne are cack not sur how hibs have not scored against them in 135 mins of footbal so far, they have a defender called bamba and he naff makes bambi look like a world beater.

Best player on the pitch has been Scott Brown from Hibs he has lots of skill and likes to burst into the box and was unlucky not to score when his shot was clearled of the line.

Dunfermline will play Celtic in the Scottish Cup final after Jim McIntyre's penalty gave them a 1-0 win over Hibernian in the semi-final replay at Hampden Park.

McIntyre fired The Pars into the final on 87 minutes after Adam Hammill was pulled down by Chris Hogg inside the Hibernian box.

The original fixture between the two sides ended goalless and the defences were intent on keeping it that way with some last-gasp defending in the first-half.

Philip McGuire should have given Dunfermline the lead on 17 minutes when the ball fell to him inside the six-yard box, but Lewis Stevenson was on line to keep the effort out.

At the other end, only a superb clearance on the goal line from Greg Shields denied Scott Brown a stunning individual goal as he burst into the box and dinked goalkeeper Dorus de Vries.

However, Shields got back brilliantly to deny the promising Hibs midfielder and keep Dunfermline level.

Just before the break Brown turned provider for Steven Whittaker who wasted a glorious opportunity as he dragged his shot off target from just inside the Dunfermline area.

With almost 180 minutes of goalless football between the two sides, Brown went close to firing Hibs into the final, but was denied by a great reaction stop from De Vries after turning inside the Dunfermline box.

With three minutes remaining, Hammill forced his way past Hogg before being hauled down by the Hibs stopper and McIntyre made no mistake with the coolest of finishes from 12 yards.

The goal came too late for Hibs to grab an equaliser to take the game into extra-time as Dunfermline ended their hopes of a cup double.

Victory in the semi-final means Stephen Kenny's SPL strugglers are guaranteed a place in next season's Uefa Cup, with Celtic already assured of a UEFA Champions League spot.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Dunfermline were 1-0 winners against St Mirren to close the gap between the sides to one point at the bottom of the SPL.

St Mirren could have created healthy separation between Monday's opponents with a home win, but will be now looking tentatively over their shoulders.

Both sides came into the match averaging less than a goal a game, so a lack of goals was always going to be likely.

The hosts had the first chance of the game when Stewart Kean wasted a good chance as he headed over from close range.

Dunfermline's Sol Bamba fired wide after neat link-up play with Jim McIntyre before Adam Hammill was also off target.

Just before the hour mark Dunfermline made the crucial breakthrough as Tam McManus was in the right place to beat Chris Smith in the St Mirren goal.

Scott Muirhead burst down the left, Hammill's shot deflected into McManus' path and the striker made no mistake.

St Mirren were unable to claim an equaliser as The Pars stood firm, with McManus closest to scoring his second with a header which went wide.

Dunfermline are now just one point adrift of safety with three games remaining in the SPL campaign.

Adam Hammill tonight vs St something Mirren

Did anyone catch the St Mirren vs Dunfermline match? This was crucial match as these 2 teams are fighting with each other to stay in the SPL.

I watched the second second half and Hammill was awesome up until the 78th minute when he got substituted. He was beating defenders for fun and played the ball into the box which eventually led to the goal. They won 1 - 0 and have now got a real chance of staying up. He's quite good at taking defenders on in tight spaces too.

In my opinion, this guy is a quality player and will hopefully have a big future with us. Fingers crossed...

He has done really well in SPL. He did the same in the reserves. I would have preferred him to get a few games as El Zhar is probably going to get in the run-in.

Apparently, he has a bit of an attitude which was what they were trying to fix by sending him out on loan.

We have a lot of young talent at the moment. Time will tell whether any will make the step up to first-team level. Hammill must be one of the chief hopes.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.
