Whatever the case may be he has had an absolute mare, if he is on 90 odd grand a week and performing like that well.... i can't see him being here next season.

I think Liverpool should give up on free transfers as of late, we have had some stinkers!!
There has to be a reason to why these guys were let run down their contracts in the first place. Comolli is gonna have to do a criteria of setpoints on free transfers debunking all transfers on players aged from 25 onwards as they will have no resale value or place them on short term contracts with an option to extend if they perform well.

I was thinking about this earlier, but if the problem is fitness and a lack of match practice, then he will need games to improve. We'll almost certainly be in for a left winger in the summer so he's unlikely to get that with us, if we were to hang onto him we should probably loan him out for a few months, but if we do that is it worth keeping him?

I was thinking more as a backup player in case we get hit with a lot of injuries in a short space of time though Kenny may favour the youngsters if that happens. Then again, aren't his wages astronomical? Might be worth getting someone more reliable but it all depends on how we spend our money in the summer.

His head and his mentality is fine.

I think it's a confidence issue with Cole more than anything, his fitness definitely needs improving.

I still think he has it, on his day he is a cracking player and is very skilful and creative.

I hope he stays and works on his fitness and gets himself in decent shape because he could still be an asset for us.
