If anyone was going to get something out of him I'd have thought KK was the man (not least because he has Clarke in assistance).

That is the key. Simple cost benefit analysis.Originally posted by banditos View PostCan we really afford to keep a 90k per week squad player in the hope he'll come good. He simply has to go I'm afraid.
We cannot have a squad player that will unlikely ever be a first choice for us earning more than most of our first team players.
We need to cut him loose.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

It's pretty obvious that the King doesn't see anything in him, he brought on Shelvey before him on Sunday, that says it all.Originally posted by Cormack74 View PostIf anyone was going to get something out of him I'd have thought KK was the man (not least because he has Clarke in assistance).
Joe Cole cost us a goal against the Mancs when he came on, he was standing with his hands on his hips blowing his cheeks out and United simply played the ball around him... I'm nearly sure he cost us one of the West Brom goals as well??
He is a passengerin our squad at the minute, and an expensive one, at that..

And I thought I was maybe insulting by suggesting he should consider playing for the reserves.Originally posted by Mostar View Post@jeremy_LFC

Hmmm, really hope this happens, but not the Modric to Man Utd bit
Joe Cole looks set to bring his Liverpool career to an end with a £3million move to Tottenham.
The 29-year-old will reportedly be reunited with Harry Redknapp as he looks to revive his dwindling career after netting just twice in 32 appearances in all competitions.
Premier League newcomers Queens Park Rangers had mulled over a move for the playmaker in spite of a campaign ravaged by inconsistency and injury, following his fanfare arrival as the Reds' marquee signing last summer.
But Tottenham have acted swiftly to secure Cole's return to his native London following a difficult 12 months on Merseyside which has seen his stock plummet alarmingly since leaving Chelsea.
Reports emanating from London suggest that he will undergo a medical next week to finalise a return to the capital, which could pave the way for Luka Modric to join Manchester United.
