Seems like a lot of people have short memories about Joe Cole. When he was here he was ****ing woeful both on the pitch and in regards to his fitness and conditioning. When he started a game for us after 15 minutes he was usually gasping for air, hands on hips.
I also can't remember him putting in a single good performance for us tbh but that's just my opinion.

He played under Hodgson when everyone was playing like a tit.

I don't know if he smokes 40 a day but the rumours that he smokes have been around for a long time and would partially explain why his general fitness was so bad while he was here.

Plenty of players smoke and manage to perform though. His fitness wasnt great but he needed games to improve it and was never given a fair chance.
