In Rodgers' latest interview on the official website he seems to indicate that Joe Cole will be part of his squad. I get the impression he really feels he can get him playing again.

Still I'd have thought with the wages he's on FSG would have been hinting at moving him on. We'll see I guess. It's an interesting one.

Does he warrant a £90k a week place in the squad though? I think that will ultimately be a big factor.

The problem is, we've already signed the contract for £90k a week. No one else is going to pay him that. So we either get rid and pay £20-50k a week for no one or pay £90k a week for someone that may potentially help (though not likely). There's no good decision, but the best alternative would be for him to play well for us and earn some of that contract.

clam down, lads... i know there isnt much positive press from the club re;signings, etc, but dont sweat it with all this worry about cole.

i would speculate that Buck is just stating the obvious, but he is also ensuring the fact that cole is still a big, high profile name and could possibly be good enough for Liverpool [fat chance] might make some lesser clubs sit up and take notice. a couple of clubs might already have him down as a possible target, and this might prompt them to make a move.

maybe once they see joe in a couple of pre-season games then hopefully we can get shut once and for all.

He's a bit light due to being on a diet, generally gets Zero goals or assists but when shuck up has plenty of fizz about him and I think ideal for the premiership.
