First time on that RAWK forum in about year and i stumbled across this post:

A few weeks back I was working in liverpool airport on sercurity when martin skrtel his girlfriend and her mate came in they looked in a rush,I was on my way back down to where i work when skrtel came over to me and asked if there was any way I could get his girlfriend and her mate to the front of the que.I suggested that the go through the fast track which is £3 each but unfortunatley skrtel only had his credit card but the machine only takes cash but to cut the story short I got them through,by that time skrtel was begging me to make sure they got on thier flight so I said il see what I can do.Martin then looked at me and said "I know you"I work at anfield and steward the crowd as well as the players exit at the end of the match so I see the players every week,so anyway he said to me if his misses makes her flight he will give me his match top on boxing day so I said ok sound shook his hand an that was that she made the flight.Boxing day came was working in the carpark afte the match as normal when skrtel came over shook my hand got his top out of his bag and gave it to me and said thanks very much.i didn't think he would keep his word or even remember who I was but I was so chuffed he did.when i get the laptop up and working il post so pics I'm only on me phone at the mo so won't let me you will be suprised the differance from the replicas in the shops.

I like Skrtel and he's capable of being a very good CB, but reliability/consistency is a nagging concern.

Apologies . I thought you slagged him off a few times in the past.

I think we should keep him but ideally not as first or even second choice. But he needs to cut out that hanging on other people sh*t. Irritates the life out of me.

Agger is never going to be reliably fit and as good as he obviously is, he needs to go. Bit harsh but he can't be our ball playing centre back if he is rarely available.

Liverpool veteran Carragher hails Skrtel over 100% record

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has hailed the 100 per cent appearances record of Martin Skrtel this season.

Skrtel and Everton's Leighton Baines were the only outfield players not to miss a minute of top-flight action in 2010-11 - and the Liverpool man's feat has not gone unnoticed in the dressing room.

"It's a fantastic achievement by Martin," Carragher told liverpoolfc.tv. "It's very difficult to play every match the way the modern game is with big squads and rotation.

"There's also the intensity of the games and how many knocks you can get.

"I was hoping that Leighton Baines would maybe get a slight knock on Sunday so he would have to come off and Martin could have the record to himself.

"But it's still great for him."
