Would it be illegal..... anyone know?

Anyone know if it would be illegal for us to take photos at Liverpool games and post them on the site?

I'll get in contact with the LFC if no one knows for certain.

    Thanks

I remember reading the back of the match ticket a few years ago (don't ask...boring bus journey!) and it said that the use of photographic equipment was illegal during the game. This was back a few years ago, so not sure what the current regulation is. Don't the Premier League own the image rights?

Me neither, I've got pictures and a video of YNWA on my phone. I did a quick search on t'internet and several forums are reporting of heavy handed stewardship at grounds last season towards people taking photos.

They can't physically stop everyone taking them, but I wouldn't say that its legal to furthermore post them on this site.

I am under the impression the imaging rights are for video capture and not still capture.

Basically the "live" rights are owned by current Sky contract although still cameras (eg mobile phone cameras) are used quite frequently at Anfield.

It is basically preventing people streaming/broadcasting live football.

hang ona second, the amount of games ive asked a steward to step aside so i could get a better picture and there has been no problem.

im sure its more to do with doing it for commercial purposes.

there wouldnt be any problem putting pics on here as long as you werent selling them.

would be a good idea for a new forum actually, people can send in there pics of matches this season

yeah it would be good to have pics from the match, I'm hoping to buy a nice DSLR camera soon so should get some spectauclar shots from it.

Get a nikon D70s or D50! i have a D70s and it's amazing. Nikon lenses and sensor are better than canon! There are some good deal's on D50's at the mo...and i know of an excellent review site.

There was a lad at the car show on sat with a Nikon, he's got some pretty snazzy snaps, and I was impressed with the speed at which it takes pics....

Click, click, click... not like my current camera... pause.... button... another pause.... eventually click... pause.....

yeah you have to be careful with shutter lag on the pocket size one's but the dslr's really don't have that problem. You get some amazing shots due to sensor size and lenses. Me mate recently bought a d50 with 2 lenses, a low pro bag and a gig card for 550 squids at curries digital. i am going to step up to the big boys soon and buy a d200

don't worry about it, everybody's doing it so it cant be illegal, and even if it is...

                        ... i wont tell, i promise

Watch any game on Sky TV and see the hundreds/thousands of flashes from cameras at kick off... would suggest any prohibition is not enforced that heavily...
