Let's face it. He is not a miracle worker. We have a ****ty squad and he cannot turn turd into gold. As simple as that.
Happy with the team selection personally

EXTREMELY disappointed with the performance of Cole, Maxi, Meireles & Johnson - all experienced men who completely hid today

Did you see him having a go at Skrtel for clashing into him in the first half, ffs get on with you big women.

Thought the subs were far too late - people moaned about Rafa's subs but he planned them and they often worked. Both Roy and Kenny leave it a bit late for me

theres no point having a go at anyone because i thought they all did ok but without gerrard and suarez we shouldnt expect too much. add to that a quarter fit 35m centre forward and it explains why we were poor today.

cant really criticise anyone, the squad is unbalanced and we dont have any wide players with pace or flair. but thats always been the case so i dont see the point of berrating maxi or cole or kuyt. they all do what they normally do.

we have plenty of tactical savvy on the bench. what were missing is talent.

I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Too many below standard players are our problem. An that's not only Hodgson's signings but some longer term sins.

When Stevie is out we are lacking a creative midfield to speak of and the passes are just not precise enough.

This was another 94 minutes of almost exclusive ball possession without creating more than a handfull of chances.

I hope Kenny has a good plan for next season, because this one is well an truly over for us.

I'm not talking about not tackling, I'm talking about taking responsibility when in possession. There were times today when those 4 players got into positions and instead of carrying the ball forward or attempting to take players on they stopped, checked back and played the ball backwards

Yes long term Carragher is past it and his days are numbered but to me today there were other players who needed to stand up and be counted and didnt
Meireles had to play in a deeper position to pick up the ball. Braga do what a lot of teams do when Carra and Skrtel play, they marked Lucas out of the game meaning that Meireles had to play deep and pick up the ball. The option would have been hoof hoof hoof.

Missed this, was at work. It would have been a very disappointing 90 minutes if I was there.
                      Are we winning?

He is a very timid player, he is talented but has to be played in a certain position

Unbelievable how low priority Europa League has been for us. 6 out of 10 Europa League matches ended with out us scoring a single goal. We can hope the Champions League draw isn't against us. As far as I understand the draw tomorrow has influence of how many teams in Premier League would qualify for next years Champions- and Europa League tournaments. Otherwise it doesn't look to good for us. Christ if we do not qualify that would be terrible. I remember in 2005/06 where we only qualified for Champions League because we won it the year before. If I remember correctly. Come on Liverpool!
                          JUSTICE FOR THE 96!

Carragher wasn't the problem today. Maxi just doesn't give anything, Johnson is worse, he's meant to be an England full back, can't get past a man and is so one footed it's untrue. Cole is past it anyway. But the lack of heart is the most worrying thing and at least Carragher has that.

Any team consisting of Kuyt, Cole, Maxi, Lucas, Skrtel, Carra and Wilson is bound to play **** football.
