I'll be in the small minority here but i thought Joe Cole was our best player.

i do hope that having someone good in the air doesnt lead us to a static midfield and hoofing from the back.

we need more quality and we will get more in the summer

We need much more pace, technique and leadership in the team. Just look at the difference Suarez makes. That is just one player. We need more players like him. Players that show on the pitch how much they want to win in every game. Players that have the pace and skill to create chances out of nothing.

Really disappointing to probably miss out on any international competition next year (certainly not in our hands any more).

It will be interesting to see what impact if any that will have on any new players we may want to bring in and on our revenue, which again will affect our buying powers.

True, i thought Lucas and Meireles were poor in the middle of the field and don't get me started on our full backs...tbf one is a 19 year old rookie playing out of position.

The more i think about this, the more it pisses me off...cannot believe we're out at the hands of such an average Portugese team.
At least last season we went out at the semi's to A.Madrid who had the likes of Simao, Aguero and Forlan - few classy players.

Braga don't have one single player that you'd want in the Liverpool squad.

Granted our midfield was poor but their job was made more difficult by them constantly being bypassed by our long ball game.

Take Suarez and Gerrard out of the team and we're scarily average.

Well- at least we can get on with the rest of the season. Hard as it is Kenny will have the chance to sort out his best players through league games only .
Get some sort of idea who gets their bye bye bags packed .

It was a really bad performance today. We are very limited going forward without gerrard and Suarez as there is no pace in the attack and nobody who is willing to run with the ball through the centre.
We also don´t have any playes on either side who is willing to run at the fullbacks, neither Cole or Maxi does it and Wilson looked really nervous. Had Johnson had a good game it might have been diffrent.

I think however Kenny did quite a bad call in half time, looking at first half it was quite clear that bragas tactics was to push the backline up and press high and I think playing a half fit carrol and kuyt made this easy. Even though I don´t think n´gog is a good player I think with him being little bit faster and more likely to run with the ball would have meant that braga wouldn´t press as high.

Also having agger at the back would probably helped alot in our build up which was almost non existant.

Our midfield has been poor on a lot of occasions this season, too soft and a lack of creativity.

They got the ball in areas and backtracked on almost as many occasions as Carragher ****ted it forwards

We want him, he supposedly wants to come to us, despite United being interested (hes a United fan), City being interested (offerring double the salary we are) and Spurs being interested (his fiance is apparently a homebird and wont move out of Blackpool)
