It was safety first from start to finish yesterday. That is something KK can't blame on someone else as I said.

Cole instead of Ngog from the start is another example of that. We needed to win and KK didn't show it enough.

When you must win then you start with an attacking starting XI, not a defensive one.

Was at the game, wish I hadn't bothered tbh it was a complete waste of my Thursday evening.

I went thinking that we were going to hammer them. Credit where it's due, Braga deserved it and their players applauded us at the end.

We need to make changes, there is a lot of dead wood but we are lacking in so many areas. I'm not saying have a mass clear out but we need to do something.

Carragher's hoofing is predicatble and if I'm being honest he is not good enough for our starting eleven anymore.

The constant back passing, sideways passing and lack of tempo and creativeness is infuriating, we are excruciating to watch at times.

We have a distinct lack of muscle and fight and there are players that are cowards. Meirirles, great energy and skill aside is a flange, he along with Maxi and others can't tackle and that is not good enough. Maxi actually bottles tackles as does Meireiles.

Most of the team can't header properly and fan*y out of headers. These are basics that are needed in any team.

We have a real lack of pace which is worrying, the players we have are also not clever enough. The movement last night was shocking and there were hardly any one two's played at all.

The constant high balls up to Carroll were ridiculous, he has good feet play to his feet FFS.

We really need a strong, physical left back. 2 powerful centre backs who can carry the ball and be positive going forward.

We need some width or at least 2 creative type players and we also need someone with muscle in the middle of the park who can smash people. It doesn't have to be someone skilful just someone with a bit of bottle. Cattermole, Parker or Wolves' captain Henry, someone like that.

So many areas that we need to improve on.

Kenny has his work cut out.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Thats just scraping the bottom of the barrel. Cole, Pacheco, N'gog, Maxi are all ****, it really didn't matter who started and who came off the bench.

Thats probably the most offensive team Kenny could have put on the pitch

If we can't base our coaching on a passing game, our passing game, and teach this to kids from a young age, there is something fundamentally wrong at this club. It all boils down to the type of players we go for as well. For example Caroll (and Crouch before him), both good players don't take me wrong, wouldn't fit into Barca's philosophy. They just aren't mobile enough.

There has been talk of us implementing a style early on, teaching the kids etc, playing the same shape, but we've got this wrong all the way. There has been a merry go round of coaches during the last 3 or 4 years and from what I am, it's still not finished.

If all your staff isn't on the same page as regards player recruitment, style of play etc, we can forget building a team like Barca. It's never going to happen. Kenny built a fantastic team in 1987, he isn't going to replicate this again just like this.
                    Are we winning?

lacks any balance and would congest the central area way too much - kyut, maxi, lucas, meireles, pacheco all like to drift central.

                      its almost a 4-1-1-1-1-1-1 formation.

Said it before, we've only got 4 classy outfield players: Agger, Johnson, Gerrard, Suarez (Carroll not yet) and for us to put in a good performance we need at least 3 of those to be playing.

Last night we only had one, Johnson, and I thought he was our best player second half.

If we're going to strengthen... no more squad players! Concentrate on the first team and I think everything else will fall into place as we do have a bunch of good (not great) players already.

i think we are starting to see a return to the old passing ways. its good to see kenny and steve clarke implementing this but unfortunately with players who weren't bought with this style in mind.

i like to see a mixture of players like carroll and crouch at the club. the arsenal play the passing game but have absoloutely no plan B and it shows. where as carroll is decent on the ground he also has the ariel ability to allow us to change the game plan.

agreed though if we can get the coaching staff to implement the same tactics and training from youth team to 1st team then great.

Carroll at £35m wouldn't be a plan B though is he? If Henry & Co. can afford that, then great but I doubt it. Barca don't play with a target man upfront, it's all about constant movement and relentless pressing. We used to be like that for a time.

not a full time plan B but he gives the option of going for plan B - something which barca and the arsenal lack (granted barca dont need it usually but they have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to world class players)
