    Emiliano Insua

Wanted to make this thread to find out people's thoughts on the young left back after reading this article, which id recommend a read.

Not sure how his loan at Galatasaray is working out but it says he's only had 8 starts and could be on his way back to us at the end of the season. He, like Johnson seem's to be good going forward but defensively lacking. I still think we should bring him back and develop him because he has shown he has got potential. It wouldn't do any harm to have him as a back up left back next season after we hopefully buy a new one.

Also found this video, madee by a Galatasaray fan presumably. I think like the Johnson dilemma he could be utilized as a left winger because he is a really good attacking player.

He's not really getting games at Galatasaray. I'd take him back as a back up left back (we need someone else to come in) he's better than Konchesky and more reliable than Aurelio. I think alot of the stick he got last year was over the top, he's still young and can improve. However he's out of contract in the summer so I doubt he'll be returning to us.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

        Agree with that

His goal against Arsenal a couple of years back is still one of the best that I've seen. Lovely effort.

Bring him back as the back up left back, because he is out on loan I presume he still counts as home grown.
We need a first choice left back but Insua is the ideal back up
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

            He should never have gone.

I think he's only on loan. That loan didn't make too much sense, judging by the appalling signing of PK.

yeah but his contract ends at the end of the season doesnt it?

if he was coming back you would have expected to have heard something about it?

there's nothing stopping him from coming back if we want to offer him a new deal and he accepts. as it stands, he will be out of contract in may though.

That's weird, it's as if the club gave him off for free. FFS, Purslow made some really atrocious decisions.

i assumed may actually. not sure when his deal actually runs out. i spose he could come back to the club for a few weeks for us to run the rule over him.

He's only a young player, I can't believe he was treated like that to be honest. He was nowhere near as bad as that, had a dip in form probably out of playing too much and people started to write him off as ****. I follow him on Twitter and I think he did state that he was a bit in limbo, having not heard from the club (or from Gala).

gala won't sign him, i'm rather certain about that. they changed manager when rijkaard left, and the new guy didn't want to know about any of frank's loan signings, so i don't think he really had much of a chance there in reality at all. i can certainly see the wisdom of waiting until the new staff has a close look at him before offering him anything.

Is he playing, as in being a regular though? From what you're saying I don't think he is?
