I'd like to remain optimistic, but I just can't see it with our current defensive problems.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

i reckon the chances of this will depend heavily on a bit of luck with injuries and other teams focking it up along the way. The fact that Tevez in injured is massive advantage for us. Also, hopefully spurs will drop a stupid 2 points here and there after their games with real madrid.....

finally, spurs dropping points against manCity, chelsea, arsenal and us could be crucial....

I think kenny and the players have been talking about catching spurs in the media a lot because they actually want to keep a low profile - i think our real ambition is to have a sneakey crack at 4th!!!

You know what would be a kick in the stones though, if we beat spurs on the second last day to go 4th......only need a win on the final day to confirm 4th position as ours and dropped 2 points away to Aston Villa.............Houllier would be gutted!!!

If we're all talking like this now after the season we've had imagine next season with 4 or 5 new players and a good pre-season with Kenny under our belts. We'll piss the top 4 next year.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

hopefully.....although if City get Mourinho, then it's all up in the air again!!! Also, chelsea are going to be very strong again next year i reckon.....

United could decline big time though - here's hoping!!!

Those aren't the games I'm worried about - I'm worried about games against the smaller teams, especially those fighting relegation. We usually play very well against the top teams, but it's against the smaller clubs we seem to play our ****e football for some stupid reason...

City cracked last year when the pressure came on and if we can keep winning I think they'll crack again. But we have to keep winning, which we did not do against Wigan and West Ham.
                  Forwards.......

Exactly, although we've had a ****e season we've generally played well against the top teams - we've only lost away to Man City & the Scum. We lost @ Spurs too but we played well enough to win the game easily...

We've at the very least put outselves in a position to have a go for 5th/4th place, even if we don't quite manage it, it's been a bloody decent effort from Kenny and the team to even have a shout at it after the efforts by Hodgson.

and lucky Bale isnt right as having the greatest left winger the world has ever seen fully fit would be a disaster for us, I have heard of some teams refuse to come out and play if Bale is in the opposing team.

                              the great white hype.

Every time we get like this we **** it up. I pray we beat WBA but this is usually exactly the point where we are going to drop points and it's ****ing infuriating!
