Pacheco to Norwich on loan

I don't know - at the age of 19 we sent a player on loan to Huddersfield Town who got standing ovations. He's now a first team regular, and one who most would say is going to be a big part of the future of the club.Originally posted by Mostar View PostI like Dani but we're so desperate that we're clinging on the player (rightly or wrongly) that was sent to the lower division and that Kenny atm doesn't even see as a part of his current plans.
It goes to show of how deep we sank and how ****ty squad we have.
I'm surprised too that three managers have all thought Pacheco not good enough for the first team squad, but maybe he's suffered from us all thinking at a very young age that he was going to be a superstar? I'm amazed he's still only 20. If the loan move wakes him up a bit, and gives him some game time, there's still time for him to come good. If the talent and desire is still there...
I've got doubts whether he'll make it, but I wouldn't write him off yet.

Yep. Apart from us fans clamouring for Pacheco to play from the age of 16/17, on paper their LFC careers have a certain similarity.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postis that our erstwhile new right back?
To be fair I'm not sure Kelly actually got a standing ovation, but a town season ticket holder I know said that he'd bet his house that Kelly would play for England and that he's the best player he's seen there in years...

My post was geared to the sad state of our squad not to Dani in particular.Originally posted by calvoboy View PostI don't know - at the age of 19 we sent a player on loan to Huddersfield Town who got standing ovations. My point is that if we have a good and balanced squad we wouldn't be following any player (Dani or no Dani) that was sent to the lower division team with a such keen interest.
In terms of Dani, I still have hope that he could turn things aroundMember #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Lets hope he can continue playing like that until the end of the season, we could then either loan him out again to develop him or bring him back and see what he can do for us, personally I'd be tempted to loan him out again for at least 6 months maybe a full season, if Norwich make the Premiership that could be a great option for everyone. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

6 or 7 games in Championship will help him get some confidence back but it wouldn't be enough to know how good he is.
In order to know if he can cut it at the highest level, he needs to play for some low ranking club in PL and extending his loan for at least 6 months with Norwich would be ideal.
If he helps them move up he'll be probably be regular and that can help him and us answer the question if he is good enough to come back or not.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

I do think the fact he took a loan to an English side is a good sign in terms of the chances of him staying.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postnever kicked up a fuss about being moved to norwich instead of a spanish team. class act so far."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Did he have a say in it though? I'm sure he's just happy to be getting a few games before this world cup in the summer and then we'll see his agent leaking a few stories if he performs well. Hope I'm wrong though.Originally posted by dww View PostI do think the fact he took a loan to an English side is a good sign in terms of the chances of him staying. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

You could be correct though. There is no way of knowing at this point if he wants to stay or go at the end of the season.Originally posted by RedReet View PostDid he have a say in it though?
