Soto has done well on the whole and was as good as we could expect for a million quid. Again this can be all be traced back to the previous owners. Rafa was given a pittance to find a 4th choice CB.

Well Soto will probably leave in the summer.

        Carra is 34 next season

        Agger is forever injured.

        Wilson is 19 and unproven.

I don't think we can afford to get rid of Skrtel with all that in mind.

Soto's defending for the 2nd peno incident gets worse every time you see the replay.

I'm not a fan of Skrtel but he did alright today, as for Lucas thought him and Jay were awful, completely dominated.

Skrtel costs us more goals than he saves, over the course of a season.

I'd sign two CB's in the summer, not one.

It's sad the way it's turned out for Soto

But its the fact that our fourth choice centrehalf is going to now get some serious game time that is the troubling thing. No quality at the back without Agger, no creativity in midfield without Gerrard, no service to the front two without, erm, errr aw **** it!

How Kenny has got us where he has with that shower is totally beyond me.

It will take a few years to make up the ground we lost because of Gillett, Hicks and Purslow. You don't make up that ground in a few months. It will take years.

                        1) We weren't much good today
                        2) That was an atrociously biased refereeing/officiating performance. We got literally nothing from them - every 50/50 or even 60/40 decision went their way, and Atkinson's treatment of Carroll in the first half was nothing short of a disgrace.
                        3) Lucas had a great game in an otherwise poor midfield. Needed others around him
                        4) It was always going to be a struggle once Agger and Johnson went off. Only ones who contribute anything going forwards from defence, and left us with no full backs

Anyone remember the last time Pepe saved a pen? He had that reputation at Villarreal and a record to go with it, carried it on when he first came, but I can't remember him saving a pen for ****ing ages.

Meireles was pish as well man. That lad goes missing in every away match.

Lucas didn't have his best game, i'd agree there, and Spearing was terrible tbh.

I hate losing to him. Really hate it. **** football. No way am I watching MOTD tonight and I'll be doing my best to ignore Hodgson's post-match gloating.

Raul is back to going missing in every game as well. His goal scoring run has covered up a pretty average first season in my opinion.
